Listen to your library, show off your backlog, babble about new music, tell us what you have been listening to today and what you will listen to in the following month, look at Jangle's tourney and wonder why he's even trying anymore, listen to Fishmans, and just let the good times flow.
>Jazz Composer’s Orchestra Jazz supergroup awh yeah all nice and shit. Hated the piano sound on Communications #11 but if you can get past the fact that it sounds like a crappy MIDI then you might be able to appreciate it’s ferocity, which this album has plenty to spare. 8
>Maiden Voyage Enjoyable, but not really attention-demanding. First and last tracks in particular were realreal nice, but this wasn’t really on the same level as his others I’ve heard 6
>Soliloquy for Lilith Better than Homeopathy but by very little at all. The atmosphere was nice, and there were sections of tracks that were well-textured, sure, but why even bother if that texture is the wealth of the song that really just plays on a few second loop? I can see those very into ambient digging this, but with the knowledge of the few dark ambient albums I have enjoyed, I thought this was somewhat poor. 3

Felt this needed a signal boost just to be sure it's seen:
98.12.28 Otokotachi no Wakare by Fishmans Translation:
Here it is! Took quite a while, but it's mostly done.
If you spot anything off, feel free to notify me and I'll change it.
A few things worth noting order of appearance: >The "SATO" exchange is pretty funny on Oh! Slime when listening to it now >Literally no one knows what the fuck is said at the end of Oh! Slime, but a pretty good guess is there >The speaking at the end of なんてったの (third track) are pretty pointless, EXCEPT for the fact Shinji says "We hope to do live shows next year as well as the following year", which is pretty peculiar given the circumstances of this album... >The lyrics to Thank You...uh... >The lyrics to 幸せ者 and 頼りない天使 (5th and 6th track, respectively) remind me of something Morrissey would write, honestly. >While the banter on the third track is pretty pointless, the one on ひこうき(7th track) is REALLY interesting. Would definitely recommend you read through that. >Fuck, man, this album is depressing but some of these tracks' lyrics made me feel more than I thought. Would recommend just skimming some of this if you have mild interest in the subject. >Would appreciate feedback on the format, specifically the Literal vs. Stylized translations, both of which I think are important to an extent, but wouldn't be opposed to omitting either if need be.
And that's all! Feel free to reply with any mistakes you see or corrections you might have. Hope someone finds some use out of this as I have :D

I fucking FOUND IT!!!
So apparently it's in a location called "Okutama Camp" Or "Hikawa Camping Ground"
No wonder I couldn't find it. It's a big bridge and all but there exist almost no pictures of the bridge, and searching in English yielded no results. It's only when I searched the town's name, Okutama in Kanji that it came up with pic related. At least after a few months of searching now I know.
Colton Kelly
Excited that I found it just as I was talking about it last thread, but to be fair I had been looking for a few hours today. Comparison between pic related and that bridge are uncanny. No mistaking them.
Liam Murphy
You can also see comparisons with this rock here and one that makes an appearance several times in this vid: youtube.com/watch?v=X9pWc9L5NE0
I'm very excited to be called autistic and for people to hate on my Soliloquy for Lilith score, but I won't be able to hear your screams in my dreams ;)))

Hunter Powell
based on the opinions in pic related, which anco album should I listen to next?
At a ten, my dude. Its 4 in the morning and I've been binge watching Peep Show all day. I use to live in London, so watching British television makes me feel all nostalgic.
Music wise, I've been listening to old Built to Spill and remembering how amazing they are. Also a lot of Japanese music and kpop.
Chase Barnes
Built to spill are amazing, their later stuff is pretty good to, I reckon they're pretty consistent much more so than Modest Mouse youtube.com/watch?v=cH9EJg4o9-s

Okay so like I don't know how else to break it to you
But the new Red Velvet album isn't very good
Jayden Wright
>But the new Red Velvet album isn't very good oh yeah I could have told you that, it's basically a law that if an album has 3+ versions of the same track then it is not worth your time.
Dylan Carter
I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER shut up, kiss me, hold me tight and leak the album already olsen
Sebastian Adams
currently listening to Burial, it's going ok, what next
Nathaniel Flores
fixed just so people know what the lower right album is
Leo Cooper
Anyone listen to Skillet?
Also, why is Flyleaf Christian Rock? Her music sounds like satan's garage band
Josiah Parker
Os Mutantes is pretty Fun-kay
Mason Gray
Burial - Untrue Yeah, I mean it starts off cash, then it's kind of really average for the rest of it, kind of underwhelming for the most part, does have moments though
Hudson Collins
listen to sun kil moon - ghosts of the great highway
Ethan Sullivan
Good Morning /daily/!
Had a fun party yesterday that was interrupted by NATO road blockades. Electric Boogaloo party tonight!
oh wow, nice!
Thomas Harris
Haha if you think Flyleaf are a trip for christianity, you're in for a treat when you listen to Albert Ayler, Austin Coleman, and Clang Quartet.
I have an affinity for religious music but skillet not so much. There's better rock oriented albums that center on religious themes like the Texas Jerusalem Crossroads
The fact that this song has been overlooked by plebs like you for years, just tells of its incredible rarity.
The whole OST to TAOSBALG deserves a 10/10 just for this track ALONE.
But I'm sure you nerds just want to listen to more Beatles, and jack off to anime
David Rivera
Thrift Shop tourney:
>Surface Noise - Molded
Pretty fun to listen to, musically it's very basic and anonymous but it's pretty ok rock I guess. Also the voice is quite nice.

Jayden Watson
3.5/10, got WAY too high last night, had a loy of trouble sleeping and now I'm tired and hazy. Gotta run some errands sometime today but I don't think I'll be doing anything else.
I know that feel, think I'll lay off weed from here on out >be me at party >smonk weed with 4 other people >eventually this moves to front yard >pass out on the lawn, wake up and apparently ask if I need a psychologist or not >this freaks out the others, so I recognise my time to leave the circle >look like shit feeling intensely self conscious for the rest of the night >people asking if I'm ok, I always tell them I'm fine >eventually sit out the back on a chair >Fucking Lazarus comes on >actually start manly crying >more people asking about me, so I have to huddle real close to myself to hide my face >stay like this until the party ends at
Luis Hill
>crying to lazarus >manly hahah
Hunter Lewis

Parker Parker
>soliloquy >3 is this your first time listening to dark ambient or is your taste that disgustingly bad? i mean i know youre fish but even you aren't this bad
>snuff jazz >2 i love seeing people's reactions to it, good mem indeed
Logan Collins
i was a bit of a nerdy and near autismo guy in my early times, mainly because i was very shy and switched from village to city life very abruptly. he was basically the first very friend i had and he helped me out a lot to become who i am now, aka i am comfortable with myself, life and people. i don't think he was into music much? but neither was i soo
also, nice /qt/

That's really nice man, I had the same thing going on since I lived in a small town for most of my adolescent life. There was a certain friend who helped me adjust to the regular world where you didn't know everyone's name. Hope you have fun my dude, and if you're lucky he'll like your music too.

Hey, happy birthday, have a nice day I have no time for celebrating anything currently:/ Will get better in august, we should go to some concert then Plastic looks cool, what is it? solid half year, you sucessfully got me into Galaxie 500 also True Widow and Girlfriends, in hindsight droning you was one of my best charts so far what time span is this? and how's that Moss Icon album?
Carter Kelly
>what time span is this? 7 days >and how's that Moss Icon album? Very good. Potential favorite material.
Also, I did not know you like MCR and Green Day that much.
>2.87 / 5.0 from 4 ratings yeah that doesn't look too good
Michael Mitchell
>Very good. Potential favorite material. cool, their Complete Discography has been in my backlog for ages, time to check it out >Also, I did not know you like MCR and Green Day that much. I keep coming back to these, really fun bands. Old Green Day is kinda boring tho, their peak was 21st Century Breakdown.
What's your opinion on GD and MCR? They aren't really liked by the majority of /daily/ I think, but I see some fans occasionally
Evan Carter
Monthly New-Wave challenge part.II
>Talking Heads • More Songs About Buildings and Food (1978) 4.0 Jerky guitars with slightly weird/funky rhythms, madman vocals. Great stuff.
>New Order • Low-Life (1985) 4.0 I used to think that New Order was more a "singles-band" more than an "album-band" but this LP has a LOT of good tracks tho. >Love Vigilantes >Sunrise >Elegia (aka the most depressive song ever made. The 2008 2-Cd edition has the superior 17 minutes edit, adn the 12" version of the Perfect Kiss as well) >Sub-Culture
>The Cars • s/t (1977) 1.5 Sounds like a lite version of the Talking Heads without funkiness, but more on the power-pop side. Being released in 1977 is worth nothing, but it's still unmemorable for non-nostalgic ears imo. The last track, All Messed-up is catchy tho.
>The Jam - Sound Affects (1980) 3.5 Tight post-punk even if I tend to prefer The Style Council or Peter Weller solo career. Solid songwriting (the B-side is better), and it deserves its praise. Recommended if you like Television Personalities and Echo & the Bunnymen. >Monday; Boy About Town. Both have great arrangements. >Set The House Ablaze is amazing youtu.be/_oL-dBxvPiw >Start! with a riff picked right from Taxman. The second CD of the 2010 re-edition adds a lot of cool stuff: covers (eg. Rain, Waterloo Sunset), demos, B-sides (Lisa Radley, Dreams of Children).
>The Diodes - Tired Of Waking Up Tired: Best Of The Diodes (The Original Recordings: 1977-1979) 4.5 Compilation of their 2 first albums, full of great power-pop/punk/new-wave anthology, with almost no bad songs (but 70 minutes of Ramones-tier anthem gets a bit tiring desu). Buzzcock-tier. youtu.be/9eyBzgnvDF4
>XTC - Drums & Wire (1979) 0.5 I really can't stand their quirky punk-ish roots. Give me 80s psychedelia-pop or nothing. Making Plans for Nigel is decent, but the other tracks, starting with Helicopter, are just annoying. Good tracks: >Nigel >Life Begins At The Hop >Chain of Command
