2 lead vocalists that harmonize.

it depends on what they play

wrong its
>lead synth
>riddim synth
>bass synth/303
>drummachine (tanzbar for example)
prove me wrong

OBJECTIVE BEST COMING THROUGH
>lead guitar
>rhythm guitar (that also sings)
>bass
>drums
>keyboard/synth/piano/auxiliary instrument

>not having 2 drummers

>only two

>guitar/vox
>bass
>steel guitar
>drums
you can either have a second guitar/vox or the drummer can sing.

Yeah this. Preferably a male & female duo.

>lead guitar

WTF is this, I only know acoustic bass guitar, acoustic guitar, acoustic baritone guitar, guitar, bass guitar and baritone guitar

If all of your members are skilled then this is the true line up.
>Drums
>Bass
>Guitar
>Keyboard/second guitar(ours also does violin)
>any member doubles as vocals, sometimes more than one.

>5 vocals
>session band

>trombone
>double bass
>violin

> Apple Laptop

>two guitarists
self indulgent

Guitar
Bass
Drums
Singer (can also be playing one of the aforementioned instruments)

>keys, two or more
>bass
>drums
the basis of any good band. add some brass for flavor. guitarist optional. other strings super optional.

>Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitar
>Vocalist and Bass Guitar
>Lead Guitar
>Drums

So perfect.

High tier tb h`

This.

Best formation is
>Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist
>Bassist/Vocalist
>Drummer (who's actually good)

...

WRONG ALL WRONG

>cowbell
>cowbell with sock in it
>slightly larger bass cowbell
>lead cowbell
>cowbell

needs more cowbell desu

As far as I can tell the optimal stratagem for a modern band is to take a song from a band that is long forgotten, slow it down a bit and that's it really.

>Lead/Rhythm guitar/ Lead vocals
>Rhythm guitar/ Backing vocals
>Bass/ Backing vocals
>Drums/ Backing vocals

Beat that
Pro tip: you can't

>limiting yourself to guitars
why do americans do this?

because it's one of the most versatile and well known instruments to mankind

if anything it would be the fretless guitar

still a guitar though

fuck yeah

i'd kill for a good rock band that had steel guitar

does dire straits count?

2 guitars is literally the perfect amount

>band is more than just one guy farting and screaming into a mic that's hooked up to a loop pedal

dire straights counts on all accounts on accounts of being the best thing you can count

I was thinking more

>rithym

Guys, It should be like this:

>Rhythm Guitar / Lead Vocalist / Keyboardist / Primary Songwriter
>Lead Guitar / Secondary Songwriter / Backing Vocalist
>Bass Guitar / Any other instruments that no one really notices
>Drums

That would be my set up, I'd be the first member listed, obviously.

Bonus points if the lead guitarist is female so we can have doubletracked shoegaze vocals

>Not one person on everything

XD

same thing desu

Sup

Kevin Parker, we get it. You play everything on your albums.

g2b now pls bb.

I've come with the objective best line-ups.

Damn, meant Soprano Saxophone for number 7.

Hold up, could be Lenny Kravitz

>two guitarists
>bassist
>saxophonist/general woodwind player
>three drummers
prove me wrong, I dare you

Rhythm guitar
Can double as lead nigger

>Lead Guitar (singer)
>Synth/Keys (backing singer)
>Bass (ocassional singer)
>Drums
Aka The Pink Floyd formation

>vocalist
>77 drummer

>Band has more than one drummer

>2vocalist 1m 1f
>3synths
>bass
>drum
>1of the synth players also plays guitar occasionally

The best is
>singer + sampler/keyboard x2
>only sampler/keyboard
>guitar + sampler/keyboard that only participates in about half the albums

youtube.com/watch?v=9o5m2lfiwd8

>Lead Guitar, vocals
>Rhythm Guitar, violin, synths, backing vocals
>effect guitar, ambience, synths, auxiliary percussion
>drums
>bass guitar, flute
>piano, synths, extra guitar, violin, backing vocals, drumkit

Best jazz line-up:
Alto/tenor sax
trumpet
piano
bass
drums

Can we replace the drummer with a drum machine? Our band was always the 3 of us and we don't want to deal with new people. I guess it would look like shit in videos/concerts.

lots of bands in the 80s did it, i was gonna do this too and did for at least for 6 gigs untill i got a drummer, its works fine
