Tell me why this isn't the best guitar model of all time

Tell me why this isn't the best guitar model of all time
>you can't

I much prefer les pauls

I sold my gibson sg after getting a 1970s japanese les paul copy because it played better and sounded better. Paying for Gibson is like paying for apple products.

Umm...Excuse me?

Les Paul's are too heavy. Was trying out my friend's and I got like 3 bruises on my hip

can you even play stairway to heaven on that thing?

>being a 100lb 5"5 manlet

wew lad you might want to switch to a banjo before you get a hernia

indie rock faggot found

it doesn't have a vagina

Do I need to dick whip you?

I'm 6 foot lmao

>strat player says something extremely gay

I'm in no way shocked

what size are your boobes?

Somewhat plump

Not even close man...Why do you guys hate Strat players so much? Its not like its a Memestang...

Because they're gay

how often do you use those pedals in your pink floyd cover band

Come on, I'm in college dude. I'm not that old and sad yet...

best model of all time, getting one today boys

>not getting the esp Ltd ex 50 or the epiphone goth explorer

>shorter scale neck
>low string tension
>Humbuckers

No thanks.

i'm a poorfag, these are only like $400 down the street

The ones I listed are literally the same price or lower fampai

oh shit seriously? i might have to look around for that epiphone because it's fuckin nice in matte black

Christ Almighty.

If you know anything about guitars beyond the manufacturer and model, then you would know that this is a shit discussion to have. Not all SGs even sound the same, so where some are fucking buttery smooth there are others that are pure shit.

Given that I have a guitar body and neck of good quality wood and in literally any body shape, I can wire a guitar to sound exactly like a higher end SG/LP/Strat/Tele/JM/whatever the fuck I want.

In an age where guitarists are chasing perfect tone, it's doesn't matter what guitar you choose beyond what body shape you think looks cool. There are companies now devoted to pickups and wiring kits that are made to order.

So fuck your bullshit question. There are hundreds or thousands of guitars better than your shit SG.

maybe because it's unnecessarily difficult to play past the 19th fret thanks to the horn? don't get me wrong I love my SG but it's not a guitar I'd use to play lead, bae gets that honor (pic related)

Ikr, I was going to buy it but the inlays are only on the side which would put me off

Hi fender fag

oh fuck my inner Sup Forums is coming out
>inb4 b&

Nice digits and guitar.

The only thing is that I want my guitar this weekend at the least and i've looked around pretty much every non-grubby music store in my city this this gun b gud

I have a mexi-Martin with the inlays on the side, and you get over it within like an hour.

thx brah

>Tell me why this isn't the best guitar model of all time
Because is not made by FenderĀ©

m8 your jazzmaster has some weird pickups lol

What guitar you getting man?

This for most genres.

probably that jackson kelly

that's because it's a jaguar fella. much crisper and jangly-ier than a jazzmaster, perfect for lead

>not fender
>good

Nah. Warmoth, but good try.

Any Fender made after mid-'65 is shit.

dude you're honestly such a fag if you believe that. the tone is 50% in your fingers, 30% in your amp and 20% your guitar. so tired of hearing you fender elitists trash talking reissue models because they don't use the exact same capacitors as the original 1964 twin reverb. NOBODY is going to hear the difference when you play it live, absolutely NOBODY, not that it even matters

Gibson guitars are extremely fragile compared to e.g. a Strat because of their design.
I own a cheap SG (Epiphone special) and it had some minor injuries because of falling over.
Also nowadays in Gibson factories quality control is non-existent.

My uncle is a Les Paul player and his Custom LP from the 80s has held up better than his from 2011. Its amazing how cheesy they've gotten.

I never had a problem with that horn.

I have a Gibson sg and a epiphone sg 4300 pro for spare. The epiphone Id still working great till this day even after 4 years of excessive use

lots of people don't but I have big hands and I also play in a more classical position, like this, so it totally gets in my way

>tone is 50% in the fingers

LOLOLOLOLOLOL ok
Tone is solely derived from the electronics. Whether or not you can play a lick is in the fingers but your fucking tone does not emit from them, you twat.

It's about 50% amp, 40% pups, and 10% body.

>Playing anything besides a Fender telecaster

All you plebs are forgetting the true patrician guitar model

Can you put a price on peace?

Not that guy, but while he over exaggerated you're crazy if you don't think that the way that you pick doesn't affect your tone. This is especially true on Fender guitars.

proud to call that guy my guitar teacher and a constant source of inspiration for my lead playing

You're on your way there, man. Sorry.

came here to say something like this

I don't play guitar, and I'll never will.
I find these guitar the best looking. but purely personal.

it's the way you pick and how dig you deep into the string, whether you sweep or alternate pick, how much squeal you let out, where and how often you make use of legato, your bends, etc. etc. people vastly underestimate how much their left hand plays a role in their tone. you can play all the right notes of a solo in perfect time but if you don't play it the same WAY as the artist, you'll still be waaay off

>implying you can be the best design with only one neck

>muh gilmour git

Because Gibsons are trash. They feel stiff, more like furniture than a guitar, the necks are baseball bats, and they're the only guitars I've ever played that manage to be both muddy and shrill at the same time. All of these things apply to most/all models, across every era of the company, without even touching on the horrendous build quality of modern Gibson.

do you by any chance like ted nugent?

cum @ mi bruv

Peeeaaaceee...peace sellsssssss...peeaaaaaceee...peace sellssssssss ARRGGGHGGH

Best guitar ever built imo

how much does linda manzer charge for one of these? I doubt it's less than 30k.

Strat >\= LP > Tele > ES 335 > SG > Casino >>>>>>>>>>> Explorer >>>>>>> Mustang >>>>>>>> shit >>>>>>>>> Jaguar >>>>>>>>>>>>> Jazzmaster > Flying V

what's wrong with the V? that shit was my wet dream guitar when i was a kid

shit

Mustangs Jags and JMs below anything?

lol ok, you fucking pleb

The stratocaster is the best guitar model that has ever been in production. If you disagree you are a contrarian piece of shit.

Excuse you

Nugent would never play an epiphone; they're not even made in america!

Any Gibson built after they got founded is shit.

but....but muh album

*Ahem*

>they're not even made in america!
They were before they got bought by Gibson.

>humbuckers

>humbuckers

Airlines are magical.

Banjos are heavy as shit too.

Such an ugly guitar, jesus.

Also, OP, here is your answer.

>humbuckers

>Looks stupider than a Les Paul Jr. Double Cut
>Sounds stupider than a Les Paul Jr. Double Cut

Flatwounds + Teles = Literal ascension to the gods

this user knows.

>lol look at me I'm so indeh xD

yuck.

Why would anyone play anything besides a strat?

because tele's exist.

Anything teles can do strats can do.

Bada bing

I have an Explorer and I love it, it handles everything from violent shoegaze to clean indie, and I love the feel of the neck.
I have a Les Paul too but I keep it downtuned for sludge and doom stuff, it handles the heavier tones slightly better.

I never got the love for Stratocasters, they handle the twangy sound well but aren't great for very clean or very distorted styles, and the feeling of the necks fucking suck

You all know it's true.

>les paul
>explorer
>humbuckers

of course you don't like strats you monster

backwards

Don't even like strats but this is it mang

what model of guitar has the largest frets down the neck? I have a SG but my fingers are too big and I can't do shit past the 15th fret

If you install a copper/brass base plate maybe.

A bass.

>Thinline
I can't play anything else now

the frets are the wires, not the spaces between them. and you can't make a guitar with more space between the frets; those spaces are determined by the physics of harmonics. the width is given by a ratio multiplied by the length of the neck. the only way to get wider spaces between frets is to play a guitar with a longer neck, ie either bass or baritone.
