So you're talking about anison? Because "anime music" seems like a pretty broad term that doesn't necessarily confine itself to OPs and EDs. Though I will admit most OP/ED music in anime sucks. I've heard so many cheesy J-pop anime openings I could probably write one that would fit right into a show about magical girls myself.

It usually will be OPs/EDs because there's more stuff to work with, but it doesn't exclude anything not the OP or ED that's on the soundtrack/featured within the anime.
Given depending on the anime it may be a bunch of tidbits or have actual songs, like the PSG or KLK OST.
