>Any one got any good Japanese albums?
What genre?

What the hell is your problem?
Shall we answer as you do for each genre and artist?
Japanee music does not fit in a sticky list not anymore than any other country does. Keep an open mind and discuss japanese music, that's it.

youtube.com/watch?v=5InHLAraLgQ

lol why would you want to listen to cheap imitations of western music?

whoa you almost had me there nice try

If you want to troll that's allright. We all did when we were young, you'll grow up one of these days.

If you really think what you say, then you didn't really try to listen to japanese music outside of popular pop.

Love this one. Too bad the EP is a bit weaker overall but so far really cool discography.
I hope more people try to make idols sound different.

jpopsuki is amazing for finding japanese/korean/chinese music
If you're still around I can pass you an invite, OP

Is there anyone here who is into chink music that doesn't have invites on jpopsuki?

OP is asking where to find them so I'm guessing him.

I wouldn't trust OP on a private tracker ever. Besides I don't think he's "into" anything.

>tfw no more Mariko Goto
No one can replace my waifu.

Not OP but I'm interested.

...

Well you're not getting any from me. Not here, not like this.

Oh, g-gosh..

My Dead Girlfriend are fucking fantastic.

What do you guys think about the new Tricot EP?
I'm starting to get bored of their style, nothing fresh.

The Brownies.

You should probably attach an email or something to your post if you want me to be able to send you something without another user just pretending to be you desu

I had no idea they released something after the last album, thanks for the update

Use Rateyourmusic, it's a real good site to keep track (they have this system where when you rate album 4 or above out of 5, you got an agenda of the new releases of the band on your home page)

I never bothered to make an account but knowing about this feature is definitely going to make me hop on that

City pop is gay. It's just standard 80s pop music with jap singers.

I didn't notice giving away invites on a public forum wasn't explicitly banned on jpopsuki. Strange little website that one.

boris

It's a little bit more than that. There's a lot of jazz influence in it and it's more complex instrumentally than something like Madonna/Stock Aiken Waterman/etc.

Ringo Sheena- Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana is probably the most ambitious pop album I've ever heard. It's a fucking masterpiece. Don't expect J-pop out of it though. It's so much more than that. Also check out:

tricot- A N D (math rock)
Gesu no Kiwami Otome- Ryōseibai (progressive pop? Kind of mathy)
Fishmans- Long Season (dream pop/dub/rym-core/meme and one of my favorite albums. Also, check out their last live album. It's even better)
Geinoh Yamashirogumi- Ecophony Rinne (very ritualistic sounding prog from the artist that made the Akira OST. Heavily gamelan influenced)
Fox Capture Plan-Butterfly (jazz fusion)
Shugo Tokumaru- Exit (extremely twee folk pop made on a bunch of instruments made by Shugo himself)
Handsomeboy Technique- Adelie Land (sounds like The Avalanches-core)
Ruins- Tzomborgha (fast, manic, sounds like Naked City)

Yeah it's probably the best Shiina album but she sill kicks ass. There's not one bad album for me in her disco or Tokyo Jihen's.

Here's more good japanese pop with Seiko Oomori :

Not sure if she's well known around here so just in case.

Yeah, Shiina is the GOAT. Every one of her albums is worth listening to.

Just stumbled upon this

Solo project from the bass player of Zazen Boys. Interesting.

Does anyone know that old Japanese album with red cover and some hieroglyphs on it? There was probably a guy playing guitar on that cover too. It's mostly guitar songs by single guy who sometimes screams really loud. Sorry for a messy description, I'm not a native English speaker.

>by single guy who sometimes screams really loud.

Some kind of experimental music? Is it Keiji Haino?

Asa-Chang and Junray- Jun Ray Song Chan is incredibly unique and haunting.

youtube.com/watch?v=nWCD9EtKPAY

Erans is another cool album. It's a collaboration between the drummer from Ruins and a jazz pianist.

youtube.com/watch?v=pWDHDJ4Wau8

Yes, I think it was experimental. It isn't Keiji Haino though. I will ask my friend who might know him later. If he tells me, I'll post the name here, but don't get your hopes up, my taste is not very good.

If anyone still has any of those jpopsuki invites, I'd personally love one

I like their joint album with Shojoskip
