It's 2016 and Blink-182 has the number one album in the country.

and?

The number one album... in the country! We da best! Anotha one!

As if they'll ever come close to making anything as good as their s/t again

Ok. Cool. Am I suppose to have an epic autistic reaction to this?

This fucking year man...

Rock is undead.

Now you know how people felt when it was 1997 and Fleetwood Mac has the #1 album in the country, and it was a live album.

And they're still insanely popular.

>It's not like there are hundreds of rock bands that release their music independently and tour their asses off, I've no idea of their existence and the most telling example of rock being alive is one of the most popular bands (2/3 of it it at least) of the nineties releasing an album through a major label, getting TV interviews and playing on morning shows, and getting an album to chart number 1.

What's your point? That those independent rock bands not being successful proves rock is dead?

Bored to Death isn't bad desu.

omfg they knocked DRAKE off, wtf i was NOT born in le wrong generation i was born in le RIGHT generation and drake represents my personal brand i am so mad that stupid baby blink-182 knocked my man drake off fuck

i didn't think it would be as bad as it is

There is literally nothing wrong with Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac is one of the best bands of all time.

It's 1995 and Van Halen has the #1 album in the country.

Next year rap rock will make a resurgence and Linkin Park will release a new EP that will become Sup Forumscore

And for some reason there will be large debate on whether or not it's cultural appropriation

The fact that hundreds of people are making rock music for their enjoyment, and the enjoyment of others is proof.

On that I agree with you, friend.

VH are good though.

And they're still popular today. Would be interesting to see why what becomes classic rock has such a long lifespan of popularity compared with many other genres.
