I want the brutalist, rawest, loudest, noisiest shit you've got. I want albums that will scare the shit out of me, destroy my ears and make me feel like I've just been raped.

discordance axis - the inalienable dreamless
thank me l8r

legit this tho. self-titled lp is also fantastic.

this came out around the same time, from similar music scenes. been enjoying it lately: youtube.com/watch?v=BJvQNirinNc

>hear that it's inspired by Evangelion
>watch it
>it's the greatest anime i've ever seen
Thank you based Discordance Axis

>I've only watched two anime: Evangelion and Naruto

coil - moons milk
coil - astral disaster

pic related came out earlier this month and i think its pretty good. really heavy punk/garage rock a bit experimental too. idk if youll get a rape nightmare from it but you might want to get in a fight or something.

I've never watched Naruto. Looks like retarded childish shit

brutalism is architecture, not music

This is not Swans, but it is very abrasive. My album "a" is harsh noise made from vocals. It makes the listener very uncomfortable, which sounds like what you want.

Besides the shameless self-promotion, check out The Gerogerigegege - Tokyo Anal Dynamite, Whitehouse - Bird Seed, Public Castration Is a Good Idea is the heaviest Swans if you haven't heard that yet.

mega link?

...

sounds like you want some ILLEGAL $LAMZ
youtube.com/watch?v=xGGK93eqAMo

No, at best it might make you feel like you're being shoved by a rude passerby

Correct.

Brutalism is when you build a house in such a way as to show what it's made of instead of concealing it.

>the heaviest Swans if you haven't heard that yet
it's only heavy when it uses basic doom metal riffs.

>swans
>riffs
what

soulseekqt.net/news/node/1
i used this, just download and search goggs. its how ive been getting alot of my music latley.

b take that house and pour concrete all over it, thats brutalism b

yeah, they do that every once in a while, they rip off a doom metal riff and repeat it a few times before resuming their mindless chugging.

No, that would be the opposite of brutalism.

if you made a house out of concrete and never put stucco or paint over it, then it'd be brutalist, but if there's already stuff inside the walls then it's not brutalist cause you'd be concealing it.

I don't think Michael Gira even likes metal. He's explicitly stated he hates it as a genre

Check out Symbols by KMFDM

That may be true, but he still includes doom metal riffs in his music.

I don't know if that makes him a hypocrite or just oblivious, but the bottom line is that if you think Swans is the heaviest shit around, you haven't been listening to enough doom metal.

>tame grindcore
lamo how the fuck is this the most brutal noisiest shit? hahahahah

If using vaguely pentatonic sounding lines with excessive distortion is doom metal now then I don't know what isn't

I never implied they were the heaviest shit around bby, I'm not the OP.

PCIAGI is still one of my favorite albums either way.

here you go
here's some good old Anaal Nathrak

>If using vaguely pentatonic sounding lines with excessive distortion is doom metal
how can you leave out the defining characteristic of doom metal?
It's played slow to mid-tempo.

Yeah, your whole point would be solid if you weren't forgetting that none of their riffs really sound like doom metal before or at the time. If anything it influenced doom metal, specifically sludge

fair enough

Nyogthaeblisz - "Vengeance through Thermonuclear Obliteration"

it's p2p i can't use it

how come?

Prurient - Cocaine Death youtube.com/watch?v=F-kIMhSD5r8

i think that might be the first grindcore album you ever heard user. Even earlier grind like From Enslavement to Obliteration is nosier. And i like The Inalienable Dreamless a lot too.

fuck yeah love this shit

Perhaps try 'From All Purity - Indian'
Very sadistic.

>From All Purity - Indian

whoah love this shit too !

cop is way fuckin heavier.

...

>Whitehouse - Bird Seed

Fucking this.

If you want brutality + quality, this is the go-to album.

Are you two stupid? Gira was inspired by his youth in the 80's No Wave scene. If anything his song structure apes his own Mentor Glenn Branca. And by the way. Sludge didn't emerge until the mid 80's. No Wave was before that and Filth was created in 1983 and their EP was in 1982. During the No Wave scene. If anything Gira got most of his early influence from Sonic Youth, Glenn Branca, Steve Reich, Philip Glass, and Industrial/Power Electronics during that period. And he still apes Branca and Reich till this day with his repetitive albeit long song passages.

He has no influence from Doom or Sludge. He does not sound like early Doom or Sludge as well. He took his own path with Industrial, Noise Rock, and Post-Punk. Case in point nothing from Candlemass and Witchfinder General.

Here's text from Wikipedia about Sludge that says that Gira influenced it possibly.

Precursors:
Along with Black Sabbath and Black Flag, musicians cited by pioneers of the style as influential include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Greg Ginn, Trouble, Carnivore, Saint Vitus, Gore, Righteous Pigs,[5] Amebix[18] and Swans.[18] Early sludge metal groups also borrowed from the industrial music of SPK, Throbbing Gristle, Chrome and Swans.[5] The beginnings of sludge have been traced to the "slow punk" of Flipper, Swans' 1984 album Cop, and Black Flag's album My War.[18]

But really it was just the Noise Rock sphere that inspired Sludge.

this is shit

This isn't really music but it will probably make you feel like you've been raped

Don't bother with the B side it's garbage

Only power electronics album worth listening to once in a while.

nigga i'm on the same side as you

i'm saying that gira influenced sludge, not that he was influenced by sludge

also nice shinji

+1 for this my negro

Mummy and Daddy is better

Merzbow

Holy fuck this is great, ty for posting
