This is a pretty great one
The Sound - From The Lions Mouth.
Section 25 - Always Now
Editors
...
lol how?
dan fucks up with having a shitty drum machine play all throughout this record
bauhaus
He hung himself because he didn't want to tour in america.
At least that triggered him to go through with it that day.
both are dark and depressing post punk records
You might dig Metal Box by Public Image Limited.
Metal Box is cold, dark, and atmospheric. The songs are held together by extremely loud and abrasive bass melodies.
i love HANL, but no
this
The Cure - Faith
Faith is good but I think 17 Seconds by The Cure is more similar too Unknown Pleasures, and a better album Imho
Fuck everyone who disagrees, this album feels a lot like Unknown pleasures (at least to me). The vocals layered on top of one another builds an atmosphere that is always being pushed upwards by the drum and bass, while guitar glides through the songs. It's not a very clean album, it's very noisy, but that's the only place where it separates itself from uknown pleasures (feel wise).
I can't tell how many hundred times I've listened to both of these albums, and they both mean a lot to me, so my opinion may be skewed by that.
does it have to be post punk? Nadja has a great atmosphere and play some dark stuff

any hipterish indie post-punk band from the 2010's and every synthpop band with le new order basslines
Not White Lies? Cuz they're pre-2010
I agree. It's not about sound it's about atmosphere. Anyone who can't tell doesn't get what OP is asking
