Are there any rock bands that have some songs that are insanely fucking heavy, loud, and angry, and some songs that are really chill, dreamy, and lush?

Yeah, like a fuck ton
System of a Down you fucking idiot like how old are you, 14?
The Beatles have She's So Heavy and Helter Skelter which were heavy for the time
Smashing Pumpkins?
Don't most rock bands do that? Post metal being a perfect example of an entire genre shaped around being angry and heavy and then lush and beautiful
this made me laugh so hard for some reason, thank you so much for posting
Fair to Midland.
Deftones are the masters of this
fuckin Meladori Magpie and Marquis in Spades on the same record
pumpkins are amazing
Soulfly ends each album with a soothing instrumental
OP how the hell do you know Kendall?
no good bands
if montie was here he's say Oasis but don't listen to that stupid motherfucker

Those were both B-sides.
Silversun Pickups sorta fit the bill
Spiritualized
...
Boris
Halestorm
that sound of silence cover is so fucking bad. they totally ruined the quite, dreamy, contemplative feel of the original and turned it into a big faggy power ballad
Great shit post m8
this desu
Boris for sure my man
Thread of the Year.
They were both on The Aeroplane Flies High.
I guess I'll be the guy to say Swans. Kinda hard to believe the same band made both Cop and White Light from the Mouth of Infinity.
which is a singles and b-sides compilation
Came to say about the band 'The Swans' here too.
manowar
Deafheaven
this
Guns N Roses bruh, Guns N Roses
Foo Fighters, not memeing
there's nothing quiet or contemplative about the original. the guitar alone is much more energetic than anything disturbed did with it and the simon and garfunkel version with drums is god awful. le harmonized vocals don't make it a quiet song.
Take a listen to this god tier album OP
>heavy
Is the fucking most innovative album is thrash metal history not heavy enough? Sorry, no shitty nu metal vocals and way too downtuned guitars here pal
Pond
so much good stuff on that compilation
ayy lmao
WHO ARE THESE SEMON DEAMONS???
then fuck? OP said 'heavy shit'.
pls go back to youtube comments section
This is probably one of the better answers
After all, this is the album that has songs like XYU, Zero, and Bodies in some parts but 1979, By Starlight, and Cupid de Locke in others. The transitions are jarring in the CD track listing but it works on the original triple LP track listing.
>Slow Animal
slowanimal.bandcamp.com
kinda fit it maybe?
>Lync
youtu.be
not really "lush" in a dreamy sense but they get really jangly sometimes
>Weed
youtu.be
basically Sonic Youth with more delay
>Hairspray Queen
soundcloud.com
new kids from my city. kinda rough but the potential is there.
>Number Girl
youtu.be
really catchy, really heavy sometimes, really dreamy sometimes
>Cottaging
soundcloud.com
also from my city. heavy noise rock with a fuckload of delay and psych-ish stuff
idk that's a pretty general description of rock music op

Objectively correct.
