Just gave this a listen and am floored. More DnB and/or Jungle like it?

There is nothing else that comes to that level, it set the bar too high.

4hero

Especially since they made it

This is the kind of talent you need to date Bjrok.

Or just be a bad boy yardie.

>like it
admittedly it's been a long time since I was seriously into dnb, but I just don't remember anything quite like it. some other classics of the genre would be Roni Size/Reprazent - New Forms and Boymerang - Balance of the Force
some good compilations would be Platinum Breakz and Platinum Breakz II
the other two suggestions in here are great as well, along with the other big album by Photek, Modus Operandi.

bump

I'm not even OP desu, I just wanted to see some dnb discussion outside of /bleep/ memery

this isn't a discussion thread tho, this is a "rec thread" (ie spoonfeeding)

D'ya like dags?

yeah, but it could end up becoming something more discussion-oriented
admittedly seeing more like Timeless would be pretty nice

pic related is the pinnacle of dnb

awful stretched cover but it probably is the pinnacle of late 90s minimal techno-influenced stuff
Dom & Roland, Technical Itch, and Current Value were great at that time too

You can ignore this guy. Techstep is not very good in my opinion, and it really never sounds anything like Timeless.

>tech itch
gotta listen to his shit again, I totally forgot about him.

I still like current value too

this is one of my fav jungle/dnb compilation albums

fav track would have to be airtight - funky technicians

yeah, if OP sees this he shouldn't expect anything like Timeless. it's still worth trying though imo, the style (and that album in particular) was a massive acquired taste for me that I love now.
I haven't gotten much into his stuff either, but everything i've heard from him has been genius
Current Value is a god desu, even through the 2000s

techstep is very good though

nah

this album was fantastic

calibres even if aswell

paradox/alaska is for you I think

How come dnb is rarely discussed on Sup Forums?

Sup Forums generally doesn't know shit about "electronic music"
all the discussion moved to /bleep/ which is memes

90% of the posters on Sup Forums are American and Yanks think '''''electronic music'''''''''''' is all EDM so they call it all pleb yet listen to memerap

That makes sense. Their loss.

oh christ, how embarrassing

please stick to your the death grips, and don't pretend to enjoy jungle, we don't need you

what did people do wrong user? not elitist enough for you?

He is a Clownstep bro for sure

I've not heard that term in a long time, holy fuck

t. embryo

Drum n bass used to be on the rise around 07-08 and then dubstep became Mainstream out of nowhere and no one gave a fuck about dnb anymore. Why is that?

As someone from Detroit that loves jungle I wish this meme would stop

Are you going to deny you are in a serious minority? Especially on Sup Forums.

Because drumstep replaced both dubstep and drum and bass.

I think you meant 97-98

Maybe I am, but the fact that there is that minority proves not all Americans are like that. Detroit and Chicago are just as much electronic pioneers as Manchester, if not more so. Sure some of the American scene today is embarrassing, but many British producers today are also pretty cancer

>90% of the posters on Sup Forums

I didn't say anything about everyone in America or about Detroit, Chicago and Manchesters relevance in the entire scheme of things.

All I was talking about was here, on Sup Forums

I fucking loved that album when it came out

>Maybe I am, but the fact that there is that minority proves not all Americans are like that.

We agree then, not everyone in America is that dumb, just most on Sup Forums

Fair enough.
