Ska punk is the way to go. Operation Ivy, Choking Victim(Leftover Crack now), and NOFX are all fair game.

Its also probably good to go back to hardcore punk in the early 80's, Dead Kennedys and Bad Brains are good places to start.

The Offspring's Smash, Suicidal Tendancies' s/t, NOFX's Punk in Drublic, some Metallica, underground hip hop, gangster hip hop and some good ska punk are great introductories to skate vibes.

If you want the full skate experience, go watch some classic skate tapes, I'm pretty sure all issues of the 411VM tapes are on youtube and loads of classics are up there too.

Seriously though, play some Tony Hawk games. The videos and everything are pure skate and it will introduce you to some GOAT skaters. Just stick to THPS1 through to American Wasteland.
