you're literally not an original enough thinker to be a musician

This is good stuff. Risky business betting a late rent fee on a talent show, though.
That really sucks about the hard drive. It took me a while to find the groove of this, but it sounds really awesome, heavy, and has a great distortion on it. How do you mic your drums? They have great mixing (the entire track has great mixing, really). This is good shit. The closest I can relate this to is some Deftones tracks. The ending is perfect. The second track is also great. I'm not sure about having the field recording go hard right at the beginning, but overall this is great shit.
Do what you feel progresses you as an artist.
absolutely the spiciest
reccing your stuff. Eager to hear these tracks with the edits.
My junior year english teacher told me that nothing you ever do will be original. Everything has been done to hell and back. Telepath made his name by imitating Boards of Canada and then went on to make some vaporwave stuff.

I'm not citing it as an accomplishment that he makes vaporwave, just giving it a bit of depth. Selling over two thousand copies of an album (that 2814 collab) is actually pretty cool, even if it is vaporwave.

the two available tracks are good, going to download and check the rest
its cool that you collabed with dear laika and ryan sinclair

just because he mentioned junior year doesnt mean hes underage whats wrong with you

not bad but the vocals feel hidden away due to louder instruments.
keep on the good work though

>whatever it takes to get your attention
That's a sketchy first step user. Tag what it actually is and not what will get clicks because people will dislike you for it.

We have a brand new studio album called Projekto de Bombas, made in collaboration with Pradera de Bombas, a band we're friends with and share one member. So this is a different album for us.

El Vacio Del Gaucho (2015) was composed over several months and, while recorded 'live' (simultaneously) it has overdubs and some studio trickery.
Our jam albums Zapadas vol 1 and 2 are selections of completely raw recordings and 100% improvised music made just for fun but are pretty nice albums in themselves. Then there's the debut self titled album from 2012.

Well composed, good dynamics and arrangements. I second Not my type of music but really good stuff

>Ontario, Canada, Ambient, Drone, Harsh Noise, Harshnoise, Noise, Vapornoise, Vaporwave.

Description:
Tragedy and viscera, established vicariously through slow, warm, looping and warping drones, glitches, bursts of noise, stinging synths and overwhelmingly profound levels of volume. In the ever expanding thirty eight minutes that creates this single track, Jorge embodies the strong foundations of these beliefs in what is Fauxiliary.

Now available for stream and download!

Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Jorge some love. Thank You. :)

ive been listening to random people throughout the day
this is me thanks for liking my stuff
im changing the vocal on on high and the drums on fairy fountain, both these things are currently dog shit

ill be honest ive never been into ambient so its hard for me to judge this
all i can say is the sounds your using are cool and your stuff seems to build better then a lot of other ambient stuff ive heard

are all these instruments you? if so im very impressed
all the instruments sound great, did you record this in a studio?
the production is almost too good if you know what i mean

Thank you so much for listening. All me, apert from the drums, which are sadly a patchwork of superior drummer loops. Then just tons of reverb/mastering effects in ableton.

Just listening to you now. Really liking what im hearing! On high has a great feel, very open and airy. Oh, and I appreciate the Lennon references.

thanks for the listen and the rec! im glad you enjoyed it!

initially the experimental hip hop tag didn't draw me to your album but i'm really glad i checked it out, because i was pleasantly surprised. I love all the production in it, your different producers are really talented! the flow and lyrics were really awesome and different its really different from the current shit that's out there, will definitely recommend this to my friends that are into hip hop and all (i'm not a huge fan myself)

i figured it could be a mistake
its a weird thing to want

hehe its cool
i realised on some of the later tracks that the drums were midi
thats some serious guitar talent

thanks a lot
ill come clean there are no intentional lennon references, but i am a huge fan
i cant work out what your referring to
i also did think i could hear a bit of the beatles in your the opening track im guessing your a fan

I am generally not a fan of this style of music but found this very enjoyable. I like the guitar a lot
this guitar is very nice. very good emo.
did you sample original piano playing? (the description indicated so) either way, this is very smooth and comfy
gorgeous production. synths sound real nice.
there's a strength to be found in knowing when to end a song. peach fuzz is great and accomplishes alot in 2 minutes. bravo

Ah, its on Fairy Fountain. The 'sugar plum fairy' is a count in Lennon did for A Day In the Life... I'm a Beatles geek.

You've come to the wrong neighborhood, nigga

holy fuck yes it is
im so dumb i forgot about that
i thought you meant something in the lyrics
im impressed man

i got the actual sample from a documentry on sgt pepper
the bit right at the start is george martin describing john lennons count in, over the top of a recording of them noodling around
i did quite a bit of editing on it tho
the little piano lick just before it comes in is mcartney :)
nice to have them in my song hehe

i guess you heard it in the anthology version
weirdly tho the bit of noodling George is talking over is slightly different from the bit at the start of the anthology version
i guess they edited the piece of noodling at the start of the recording for some reason

Never tried making hip hop or rapping before, pls let me know what you think.

thebags.bandcamp.com

easily the worst music you will listen to today

i got carried away by beatles geekness and forgot to mention the piano

its interesting that you like the piano sound
i dont have a piano in my room so i had to stretch my mic all the way from my computer in my room to the living room downstairs
the lead wasnt quite long enough tho so the mic could only reach the the door way, with piano on the other side of the room
i had to hit record upstairs and then play as loud as i could over a metronome from my phone
this is why i expected it to sound real bad, as you usual close mic pianos
i guess the reverb from the room worked

also i added a bit of cloner as a way of ADT to make it sound a bit thinker, and EQd the low end up a bit as it didnt travel across the room quite as well as the high frequencies

hope that helps, thanks for listening :)

>~30 second songs
I don't get this, is it some rebellious statement against the structure of expected songwriting from the music industry, or are you trying to leave me unfulfilled? It was actually pretty good, but cut off too short

ba ba ba bamp

Ah that's great about the lennon sample. I just youtubed it and saw the George Martin clip. I think they must have left it in for the version on LOVE.

Cool story on the piano. The joys of home recording! I personally liked the effect of the far away piano. Gives the track and organic sense. I may have to experiment with mic distances.

I appreciate the convo. Keep up the good work bud!
