I'm brand new to synthesizers, before this using only acoustic instruments and electric guitars, but I just got my first synth two days ago and just made this short little thing as an experiment or whatever. How does it sound? Is there any promise?
I intend to use it in conjunction with the other instruments I already play, not just as a main instrument or anything
meme
Only listened though phone speakers but that sounded cool as
By synth do you mean hardware? Or did you buy a softsynth and use a midi keyboard?
Thanks and hardware. It's a microkorg. My friend who's "quitting music" sold it to me for 150$
Also the bass sounded a bit off so I fixed it

Did this for a thread earlier, I'm trying to like, sing better.

I might as well post the acoustic song I posted in the other vocaroo thread
I'm ok with that, I sort of half intended it to be.
The beginning reminded me of (') by Frank Zappa a bit. The rest didn't but it's good
Your singing is good, better than mine anyways.
Done with shit mic at too low a volume, but w/e
Bonus points for whoever can guess the 3 riffs
Here's a bunch of stuff that I started but never finished

Sounds cool, but I can't guess any of them

Have a random bass riff.
I like it
Forgive my mistakes. I've only been playing the harp for about a week now.
Groovy. I like this.
I liked it, maybe redo the vocals?

>The album not the song

holy shit dude incredible
I've tried this but my voice cannot handle mangum's melodies
On Two-headed boy. Obviously you cant hit the notes mangum strains for but who can? gonna listen to the whole thing. Your singing is very sincere.
Anyways i wrote this in 5 minutes just now

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on my voice, I'm better at singing in lower octaves, when I start getting to the upper register I'm trying to work on containing the pitch. But yeah I love covering nmh, anco, and radiohead if you have any requests
It is. It's her song titled "Peach, Plum, Pear".
I can play and sing it way better on the piano 'cause it's just so hard to focus on my voice and the harp all at once. I'll get the hang of it, though, and hopefully a less shitty mic int he future.
noice
your voice is beautiful I would love to hear more from you

i'm new to writing songs but so far my verse sounds like a mix between pavement, dog shit, and mac dememeco. writing choruses is hard. i almost want to just make the verse a chorus and come up with some cheap replacement verse. how do you guys write?

Thanks man! here's Derek by animal collective
This is also me.

I just added a bunch of effects to some mindless sounds in audacity. Is this how you make art Sup Forums?
Le meme butterfly
Contributing in a shitty way because awful mic, can't sing, and can barely play any guitar chords.

I did a really shitty cover of To Here Knows When. It would've been a lot better if I had just used an acoustic guitar rather than trying to recreate the song. I recorded it on a laptop microphone.
Brace yourselves.
