Just this one

I hope you're kidding
ska punk is shit that rebellious teenagers that were babied a bit too much when they were younger listen to
I don't even have to listen to it to know it's shit

Having a bad day user?

Someone's a pretty special snowflake aren't they?

literally all of them

The Clash's debut

I hate ska punk too, but OP Ivy is bretty good

Operation Ivy is fucking fantastic and I love everything Jesse Michaels makes. However, there are a few records better than this. I mean, we all love Knowledge, Sound System, The Crowd, Unity, Bombshell, Vulnerability, Freeze Up and Artificial Life, but you then have not-so-good-songs like Gonna Find You, Smiling, One of These Days, Missionary and Bombshell. These latter songs are not bad, they are okay, but not fucking amazing like the previous ones.

IMO, punk bands better than Op Ivy are Government Warning, No Problem, Nightstick Justice, early Against Me!, Red Dons and the Observers.

All these bands came AFTER Op Ivy however, and if I were put in 1989 I cannot come up with a better band than Op Ivy. Perhaps Discharge if you are in that sort of thing (which I am), but those bands are so different they are barely comparable.

There is no doubt that newer bands stand on the shoulders of Op Ivy and as such had an unfair advantage.

...

Bad Brains - s/t
Minor Threat
Reagan Youth
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit
X - Los Angeles

Good choice but IMO:
Integrity - Humanity is the Devil, His Hero is Gone - Monuments to Thieves, Orchid - Gatefold, and ATDI -RoC are better.

Just warning you Sup Forums knows very little about punk.

This is a post-ironic meme, right?

>Integrity - Humanity is the Devil

What is this metal shit?

no it's truly one of the best punk albums ever made

No, it is terrible. Propagandhi is a terrible band and this is possibly their worst record.

wrong

...

Great record

I didn't know Haile Selassie was on Sup Forums

a lot
Energy is still good tho

ska revival isn't cool you stupid fuck

I think the only reason I dislike Op Ivy is because everyone and their fucking grandmother had to do an obligatory cover of "Knowledge."

It sure is lucky that the trend died out

Try some Bomb the Music Industry!

This is better. (Plus no ska)

...

>""""punk""""

Most things by Streetlight Manifesto, bro.

you were talking about ska, right?

Pretty much all of them

Punk music is very diverse so no one will agree on what's "good" or not. However, if you like Op Ivy and ska-punk you might wanna check out Choking Victim, Morning Glory, No Cash and Lame Ducks (you probably already know a couple of them).

obvious choice

Crust. DBeat. Anarcho. UK82. Hardcore.
These are the true teachings of punk rock

>"""real""" punk

>Smiling
b-but that's one of their best ones :(

i hate all ska (because brass instruments are awful sounding things when it comes to this genre) but this is the one album i can handle and genuinely enjoy

...

There is nothing punk about ska, ska wave nor ska core music

there is nothing punk about defining punk

pic related is best punk album

Dead Kennedys' first 2 albums.

Yeah it's not groundbreaking or anything, but I enjoy it and it's really ingrained itself as summer-music for me.

...

then your a hypocrite and your opinion means nothing

...

only great punk in this thread

Great taste.

What's it like being 16?

To care this much about what is and isn't "real punk rawk" means there's no way you're an adult. It's kind of sad that might actually learn a thing or two from listening to Jawbreaker.
