Albums that could've been made in a vacuum

Albums that are timeless and don't really evoke a "scene" of any kind. This album, for instance, doesn't scream of any obvious influences to me at all. It's acoustic guitar music, and yet I wouldn't say it has a general "folk" sound to it like a lot of other music where this is the chief instrument. It just sounds like a dude who wrote some songs. And it's maybe one of the things I like best about it.

Have you gotten this vibe before? From what album(s)?

Madvillainy

>poomen

Leave the music to the humans monkey man
Your skull is misshapen and you're the shade of feces. Or if you're a winger that's even worse www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads

nobody likes you

I'm very well liked my boy

In real life that is where my sentiments are agreed with, I'm just trying to make you see the light.

Anyway its just a meme so if you don't like it move right along

youre racist and edgey

>the first is bad

Explain

I don't think I've been "edgey" also. I just want all these fecalskins and their sympathisers (you) to get the fuck off this website.

You know your normal frinds would be disgusted at you if they knew you used Sup Forums

Come on mate, Loveless very obviously evokes the 90's shoegaze scene. Not saying it sounds dated now, but it pretty much defined it's time, making it hard to separate it from that scene.

>Albums that could've been made in a vacuum

The joke is that it sounds like a vacuum cleaner you spastic.

Yep. This and Laughing Stock obvs

...

for very similar reasons to Pink Moon

...

Their influences are pretty clear tho

We're discussing music. If you really want to be racist go to stormfront. Or better yet kys

...

even if this is a joke you're a psychopath

A vacuum and a vacuum cleaner are two very different things, you daft cunts.

holy shit dude i think i got called a pooman in daycare

i'll donate to your patreon if you promise not to have kids

the superior album

Agree

Are you kidding?
It's proto-bedroom core. Just replace Drake's guitar with a ukulele and you have modern Twenty One Pilots-worshipping teen girls talking about vague depression in their badly-recorded pop-punk wannabe singles.

They both write the exact same way and talk about the exact same nonsensical bullshit.

>Comparing Nick Drake to 21 Pilots

hes right

why do you think so?

what the fuckhave you not heard of Krautrock? That's like the epitome of a "scene"
>localized to one country/region (germany)
>thriving for a relatively short period of time (70s)
>bands had similar influences and similar sounds (progressive rock, synthesizers, repetition, psychedelia, musique concrete)

pathetic bait

You think this is bait? How the fuck can you think this is bait?

This is an irrefutable fact that you fucks can't acknowledge because Dick Rake has cred and 21 Pilots don't. They've just got popularity, babes, and money: shit you'll never have, fucker.

Does that make them good? No.
But think about it: they both have terrible, supersimple instrumentals and stupid lyrics about vague shit involving depression. This is irrefutable. Nick Drake would've been called a 21 Pilots immitator if he was alive and making music now, because it just sounds the exact fucking same.

You think this is bait now, shithead? How about you come over here now, idiot? I'll shit some fly bait in my hand and throw it at your face, faggot. You don't scare me. I've bombed you so hard I bet you just shit yourself right now.

...

All of those characteristics are incredibly vague and say little to nothing about the music. Krautrock encompasses Can, Faust, Kraftwork and Tangerine Dream; these bands sound very little alike. Krautrock is a word used to describe a zeitgeist, not a sound. I would choose Future Days over Tago Mago for OP. Future Days is timeless and could've just been released yesterday.

this pasta is ruining my macros

go back to Sup Forums you miserable troglodyte faggot

Bait gets baitier as reasons for said bait begin to sound more and more retarded as elaborated on.

Stop shitting up a thread that was started with Nick Drake with your stupid political opinion, no one cares
>

Does not the fact that it is part of a "zeitgeist" immediately disqualify it from the premise of the thread? Just because Can were ahead of their time doesn't mean that their music was released in a vacuum. Rather, they were part of a legendary group of bands who clearly inspired each other and competed amongst each other.

Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother, was part of both Kraftwerk and Neu!, Uli Trepte was part of both Faust and Neu, Ash Ra Tempel and Tangerine Dream shared several members, several people were part of both Popul Vuh and Amon Duul II... it was a scene. Can did not exist in a vacuum.

You subhuman baboon. You literal nigger.

How dare you speak, you swarthy jungle monkey. How dare you open your big lipped, rim encrusted, menthol cigarette smelling mouth?

You are human trash, Diego Tyrone LeShawn de Maradona. Universally despised, derided and mocked. Your nationality and skin tone offers no hope to the world that South America can ever prosper. Crawl back in to the Brazilian jungle you came out of, you literal orangutan.

I hope you decide to sail your grandfathers skip to the Falklands and rape some sheep, as is in the negroes nature. It would still be the whitest pussy you ever had. Give Nigel and Robert a chance for some target practice, your sole use to the world. Argentinians obsession with a few windswept islands in the Atlantic is hilarious but sad. Coincidentally its the only worthwhile contribution Argentina has made to the medical field. The MUH LAS MALVINAS sentiment in the average negro Argentinian is both an early warning sign of autism in children, and early on set Alzheimer's in adults.

Take your black hairy fingers off your keyboard, and never talk about the human species again, you mockery of our supposed shared ancestor.. No amount of olive oil and wheat flour slabbed on your face every morning will make you white. It's about as delusional of an idea as your daydreams of European heritage.

You nigger.

You make Bolivia look like a beacon of civilisation.

You are the Baltimore of South America.

Go fertilise the pampas with you and your families corpses, its the best you can hope for in life. For the first time in your life, nigger, you have a job making food for beings vastly superior to yourself. Uruguayan cattle. Coincidentally, it would be the first time an Argentinian "man" provided for a family.

Die, Diego. No one would miss you. Except for Australian Aboriginals, who now would have no one to make them look good.

The OP says "could've" been made in a vacuum. Future Days sounds like it could've.

Beat Happenings debut.
A lot of albums without too much production really.

Seek help, please. And I say it because I care.

>They've just got popularity, babes, and money: shit you'll never have, fucker
Why are you moving the point of your argument to be about me not having as much money or women as TOP

>Nick Drake would've been called a 21 Pilots immitator if he was alive and making music now, because it just sounds the exact fucking same.
I don't remotely see the comparison which is probably apt considering this is complete bait

Jokes are meant to be funny.

rain dogs

Have you never heard anyone refer to a vacuum cleaner as a vacuum?

Listen to other british folk acts of the time.

I love Nick Drake but this is a pretty ignorant thing to say. He's very much indebted to the renewed interest in celtic folk music of that era. I mean shit he released his first album right in the middle of the whole electric folk uprising in Britain, which is probably part of the reason why he didn't receive that much attention. His songs were fantastic but they really weren't anything new.

Well, you've got me interested then. Any suggestions?

Strange Ways proves otherwise. It's so obviously made after the Iraq war began.

Listen to Bert Jansch who was a huge influence on Drake. For a more filled out electric folk sound like on Five Leaves Left and Bryter Later listen to The Pentangle which was a band that featured Jansch.

Still rings true though. It's not like war's gonna stop, we're just focused on domestic chaos rather than international at the moment

...

Half of that song is about the drug war and the other half is about the Israel/Palestine conflict, neither of which has ended or gotten less contentious

Thanks, user. Sorry to be ignorant

Don't wanna even read the thread but I love you OP.

Most of this was recorded in the 80s but much is nearly indistinguishable from either 60s psychedelia or much later hypnagogic pop ("On the Beach" sounds pretty much just like Ariel Pink)

What the fucking shit dude

is this a new pasta?

holy fucking shit dude

Pink Moon is early 2000s car commercial scene

pasta, guys
