fuuuuck offffff this shit isn't hip hop

>isn't hip hop

literally how?

disturbed isn't metal desu

Cloud rap/trap/swag bullshit =/= hip hop

yep, a style/subgenre of hip hop

Funnily enough I feel like I grew into Hip Hop. When I was a teenager I was straight up "rock and alternative music is the best, rap more like CRAP lol". Over the course of doing a jazz degree and getting way more into more complex harmony, rhythm, improvisation and whatnot guys started putting me on to stuff like Tribe, Fugees, Mos Def, Kendrick ect. and I started realising how much more creative and how much more depth is in a lot of that music, compared to a lot of guitar based music.
Of course like any genre there is also a LOOOOOT of complete mindless shit in Hip Hop, but to me something like this

Is not something I ever expect to be "grow out of"

>rock and alternative music is the best, rap more like CRAP lol
Rawk is just as low tier.

You sound like someone who's matured over time. Congrats, you're a rarity here

once I started studying music and reading more literature I gained a deep respect for the true artists representing the genre

anons spouting the hiphop = shit meme are merely sad little memers

Same here, and then I grew out of it. Because it's shitty music for niggers.

early 20s

I grew out of it at the age of 20 but then I found out about this type of new hiphop youtube.com/watch?v=9nw2tOrpNFY
It's the only type of hip hop I like now. I don't know if it would be called hiphop though I dont know what kind of style this is called.

dumb ghettoposter

woah bro calm down with that edge

this is a fairly standard cloud rap instrumental
i'd rec listening to some chopped and screwed stuff it has a fairly similar sound

>Victim interviews
Buyer's Market?

there's genuinely good hiphop but a lot of it just feels incredibly unoriginal and boring to me, around like 17 probably

what a tryhard

Same here brother way to not give in to the mindless hating of an entire genre. Unless it's country.

Grew out of it when I was a foetus.

I'm sorry that all the twelve year olds are gonna try to make you look bad
