Same here OP. I loved that turn on a dime from the less unique power pop of Bellybutton to that surreal Beach Boys influenced baroque pop sound. I'm convinced that album was a huge inspiration for Of Montreal's The Gay Parade

Holy cow dude I completely forgot this album existed. I read so much about it when I was younger and got obsessed with it but couldn't easily find it so I just forgot and never listened to it. Thanks senpai

That The Verbe album is boring, didn't like that Weezer album at first but I do now, The Angelic Process album is not my cup of tea.

Carefully and brilliantly straddles the lines between arena rock and sappy tunes you'd hear in a dorm room pretending not to like.

surprisingly solid album, the middle 1/3 is a bit weak though, Narcolepsy is the big stand out for me.

Andy Sturmer is such a great producer.

I loved the first disc but got pretty pissed off when I found out that the second disc was literally just the same songs but with different titles. Like these weren't even different takes or mixes just the exact same songs.
