I actually like this a lot more than I thought I was going too. There's a good diversity between the songs. It doesn't sound to samey or homogeneous

Thanks for listening! I'm quite disgusted by the "space-ambient" term however I might see where you drawn that conclusion. I've listened briefly to your stuff and it's quite amusing. Twing Twangs sounds extremely well and I'm looking forward for your LP for sure!

What's there to be disgusted about? You don't like Steve Roach? Is it the whole sci-fi aesthetic because I could see if you didn't like that

I'd love to get involved in this regardless of whether my music is included

This is unnerving, kind of chilly and warm at the same time. Might sound reserved to some yet there's so much subtle emotion. But what you did to your voice makes it sound like Ween. Are you Ween? Regardless, I love what happens around 3:05, and then that little guitar part at 3:10.

I wouldn't say this is entirely clicking with me but it's so professionally put together that I would urge folks to not pass this one by. Actually, I think it might be growing on me as we speak. The chord progressions are unpredictable and resonant. The production is my favorite part; I love that soft fuzzy sound which even extends to the drums.

I'll be back with more recs and feedback later

Thank you. I'm loving your new release. I'd buy the cassette but sadly I don't have a cassette player plus shipping the cassette to Canada costs as much as the casette itself :(

here's my reply

gonna come back to give some feedback in a sec

Thanks for listening as well! I've also checked out your stuff. I have a slight complain with the vocals (which could be a bit cleaner and more lively) and the mix (which is a bit too loud on the acoustics part). However, beyond that, I find it quite entertaining and well though-off. But a better mix is required because some sounds (mostly acoustic guitar) breaks a bit in volume. But keep up a good work!

The term is stinky user. I'm fine with the aesthetic and I have nothing towards Steve Roach. But "space ambient" term sounds weird to my ears. That's all

No problem Lionweed, I appreciate any support, even just a verbal/written one! Keep up a good work!

ok, here's my feedback:

i really like a lot of the ideas on here. really fun variation that seems to be approaching the same appeal as some of the bands you listed like the music tapes and olivia tremor control. great cover art as well. keep doing your thing, man! it's just gonna get better and better as you go.

really high-quality work. production captures the explosivity in what you know, and the arrangements are orignial and creative enough that they can be as minimalistic as they are and still be interesting, from what i've heard. excited to hear the rest of the album.

two tracks in - really digging the energy and songwriting, lots of sonic texture. Followed, will be coming back to later, might end up a big fan of this!

digging this, as a fan of the no wave movement. your low end gives a nice sense of tightness to what otherwise could be some messy arrangements, I think it's a good mix of the two. I'm digging some of the accidental (maybe intentional?) harmonies showing up on don't trust the man's second half once the guitar comes in. Very sparse, but sounds like you still know what you're doing, which I appreciate

oh yeah I remember you guys, really dig your stuff

how many tracks do people think we should have? im thinking about 15, we dont want it to be too long

new music is being made as we speak!
thanks kinda words, hope i can deliver

again, moar feedback:

really digging the lofi vibe you've mixed the instrumentals with; i feel like the vocals don't quite fit in (mix wise) with that, but that's just a minor issue. song wise, very nice work and vibe. The bass is really groovin. Let me Lay Down had cool moments, but was a lil too start and stop for me, tho i appreciate the tempo experimentation. surreal exposure and natural are beautiful though, I'll becoming back to this.

>sunbody.bandcamp.com
wow, i had seen others saying this was worth checking out, but this is beautiful; lush, textured, but with distinct melodies. the drumming is also really rad...will be listening to the full album in an altered and undistracted state later tonight i hope

message brucie from mezling, dude.

so weird to see someone i've met in real life on Sup Forums haha

I'd recommend distrokid, like 20 bucks for the year, can upload however much you want

>sunbody.bandcamp.com

thanks so much! i put a lot of work into making it feel like a cohesive body of work, so it's great to know someone is going to listen to it in the way i intended it to be listened to.

i'm gonna look into that. thanks!

Maybe distrokid like said? The world needs to hear sun body (plus I want to scrobble you)

Reccing this beautiful bandcamp

Glad you dig the tracks! vocal mixing was actually my biggest dilemma because I was unsure of how to make vocals that were very clear fit in with a background that was much more hazy and unfocused.

album I made using the recordings my great uncle lent me of him playing guitar and singing in the attic of the guy who recorded him idk his name yet. sorry for posting it so much I just think you folks might like it

haha hi its just spent a couple hours working on that EP, boy i'm tired as fuck. at least i got all of the bass parts recorded. wish my drummer had time to record the parts he has to do. this is definitely not the same style as any of my previous music [except for maybe TPWTKW] but if you're a haino/LRD/anything noisy and wanky, get excited.

here again;

went with yours last since you were the first in the thread ;P

reminds me quite a bit of weird era Deerhunter, just a lil sparser and less intense. digging the dreamy echoey vibe, could easily get lost in this. Also like the more upbeat ones. Fave track: outside

Of course I have, I'm even doing it right now. Btw take your time, those cassettes aren't going anywhere. There isn't exactly a high demand for lo-fi Christian music

here;

I'm digging this, i assume the instruments aside from the guitar are your additions? I like what you're doing here, it's a very unexpected blend, but your productions fit in well with your great uncle's songwriting. Very cool.

beautiful lyrics and songwriting; this might be my new bed time album.i liked the juxtaposition of two characters on bottle rocket. the synth line at the end reminded me of say hi to your mom's synth work, who's one of my favorite bedroom pop artists

P good. I really dig the vocal melodies. If anything, I'd say the production could be livened up a bit. The guitars sound a little sterile.

It's a minor complaint, though. Really good effort. Especially dug fuck the weekend, keep easy and I might be an asshole.

Yeah after listening to the whole thing, I'd say for your next effort try focusing on those tightly woven melodies you show off in the first half of the album. With the lineup being what it is, those sounds can get a bit samey over the course of 13 tracks so maybe try cutting songs wherever possible to make the overall listening experience even better.

excellent effort, either way.

Listened to we fall

Clean up that crash! It sounds so plastic lol. Besides everything else is pretty good. However, there's nothing particularly exciting going on. This would function well as a background music, but if you want it to stand on it's own, you should consider adding something that fills the void not having lead vocals creates.

I liked it. It's really similar to what I make so IDK if i can really offer a great critique, but it sounded pretty good.

The last track's drums were kinda wonky though. I think the guitar strumming was a little off beat and it clashed with that frantic drum machine beat.

If I could offer a suggestion, I'd say keep trying to develop the sound you have going on fakes. The instrumentation is so lush during the bridge it compelled me to keep listening.

>There isn't exactly a high demand for lo-fi Christian music
this ain't no ordinary lo-fi Christian music mate

also cool, surprised you still listen to it. sometimes i listen to bits of it and it just frustrates me to see how many rookie mistakes and lazy music making is going on in it. maybe one day when enough people start listening to my music [or i just run out of ideas and have nothing better to do] i could make like a remastered/rerecorded version of I Stole This Riff. i always felt it could be so much better if I remade it

Thanks! Yes, all the instruments are me "The Hollow Boys", I also tried singing on the first and last tracks but didn't want to distract from my Uncle Fil's original singing/guitarring. when I started on this little project I just had two CD-Rs of about 10 songs each. I felt compelled to turn his recordings into full songs as a surprise gift for him when I mail back his original CDs
