Decided to put up a new sloppily played and poorly recorded solo take of a song. Gotta keep up my carefully curated image.
I can't remember if I've ever commented on this before, but it's really pretty rad. It just sounds so well put together and fully realized in a way that you don't get from a lot of bandcamp type stuff. The electronics and other sounds are really well integrated with the more traditional instrumentation, it never sounds out of place or unnecessary. I honestly can't really think of anything that critical to say, other me not being a huge fan of the more synthetically produced tracks, but that's just a matter of it not lining up with my own personal tastes, certainly not a problem on your behalf.
Anyways just really dug it, good shit dude.

Hey wtf ever happened to the comp on Hutto's label? Did that plan die?
idk
It's still happening
Hey it's still happening I'm just on holiday right now with awful wifi so organising would be a bit of a drag
I'll start again when I get back
Why are none of the babies in this thread reccing
whats this about a contest
People that are good that I've heard
Basically there's gonna be a Sup Forums bandcamp compilation on Jacob Huttos label
There's a bunch of people already signed up to be part of it
There's gonna be a vote to pic like 15 people to be on the final comp so it's kind of a best of
If you want to be involved reply to this and I'll add your name to the list when I get home

I gotta say m8, the album covers on your page are friccin gorgeous. The music itself has some very pretty and evocative chord progressions but I would hope in the future that your production sound much warmer. Right now it still sounds slightly mechanized. Nevertheless, keep at it.
This is relaxing and gives me them bittersweet nostalgic vibes but still a bit unmemorable. My advice would be to work on your sense of melody.

Sup guys, I just released another album
avantier.bandcamp.com
This is a conceptual synthwave/vaporwave album based on videogame consoles (and a couple of games) from the old Segas, the N64 and the Gameboy all the way up to the Wii and the Xbox 360.
I made this as a tribute to my childhood, and for all the nostalgic folks out there to enjoy. I hope you like it.
The album is free to download, but you can support me by buying it if you want to, it would mean a lot to me (I need actual gear asap)

We have a brand new studio album called Projekto de Bombas, made in collaboration with Pradera de Bombas, a band we're friends with and share one member. So this is a different album for us.

El Vacio Del Gaucho (2015) was composed over several months and, while recorded 'live' (simultaneously) it has overdubs and some studio trickery.
Our jam albums Zapadas vol 1 and 2 are selections of completely raw recordings and 100% improvised music made just for fun but are pretty nice albums in themselves. Then there's the debut self titled album from 2012.
--------------------------------------------
really nice comfy stuff.
I like your level of self esteem. Album starts in a T. Rex vibe really nice. But I see there's a lot more going on. I think you were right this is seriously good shit. I'm downloading this shit right now

I hope you continue to make more
this is absolutely fantastic. Wouldn't mind an entire album of this. Now I'm listening to the album. Great stuff. (Me: )
Gave it a brief listen. Light 7. Not bad at all. Fav track: No 2
Sounds/Structure/Production all good and I like the concept of the album (I thought the loading transition track was a nice touch). Where the album falls short imo is the harmony, particularly first track, there's a lot of doubling/tripling thirds which makes the backing sound weak, and you could have chosen better chord sequences, to make it flow more smoothly.

>indie pop, bedroom pop, lo-fi

Well jeez, thanks!
Listened to about half of Projekto Bombas and enjoyed it a good bit, however just started El Vacio Del Gaucho and am really digging it. Love how sorta spacey and expansive those songs feel. But anyways all around really cool, playing is tight as hell and production is solid.
Oh and forgot to mention that I think the vocals really add a lot to the Vacio Del Gaucho material. Even though I can only pick up a few words here and there from my limited spanish vocabulary I really think their inclusion really fills a hole I might have felt with the instrumentals on Bombas, though actually that might just be a matter of my personal taste.

Will be posting feedback on new stuff in a sec. I haven't been in a BC thread for awhile so I see quite a bit. Don't want it dying on me again.
I am Sorry in advance. I have to skim through some stuff so feedback may not be indicative of the whole project.
The mastering is well done. It definitely doesn't sound like it would be recorded in an attic (in what I can only assume is the past).
Sounds very minimalist (which I'm guessing you're looking for). The organ track is cool. I would recommend trying to incorporate more texture if you can. That is what I like about post-rock.
Oh shit I like this. I don't listen to a lot of ambient music, but I am digging this. Grey Skies is cool. Just skimming through some of the project seems better than the rest.
This is cool. I like Surreal Exposure. Nothing too extraordinary, but above average.
This is cool. A little sparse at times, but that could be my skimming. Love your aesthetic.
Too much going on for a simple skim. Like what I hear. The saxophone is awesome.
I am a little thrown off here. The instruments come through clear but the vocals are really low. I know you tag lo-fi, but the instruments and vocals clash for me.
Any luck on putting together a full album? I checked this out back with Full Stop and I like it a lot. Can't wait for something larger than singles.
Digging the layers going on here.
Oh shit that openeing harmonica track is the bee's knees. I'll have to listen to this as more than a skim. The instrumentation is really interesting.
Really digging this concept. I'll go back and do more than a skim later. Aquatic is like being wrapped in a warm blanket holy shit.
Melodies are nice. Only thing I would recommend is bringing up the vocals a little bit.
Your flow is a little... odd I guess. Not bad. Sometimes it sounds very confident and sometimes not.
SUPER IMPORTANT FEEDBACK FOR EVERYONE: GIVE FEEDBACK TO KEEP THE THREADS GOING. Also talking about music is cool.

I like the vibe you have going on here of
pre-60s american folk sound mixed in with some chaotic weirdness
Big fan of the fuzzy garage psych textures. You manage to avoid
the usual songwriting cliches of this genre and actually come
out with something that I wanted to listen to. I would buy this
but I'm poor. Definitely going to look forward to an LP
(hopefully when I have cash) though
Honestly, there's some decent composition in these songs. You really
could probably afford to drop the ironic detachment and intentional
self sabotage.
