I'd say sleeping cuz it's a school night but it's summertime so that joke won't work

Easily the best Dead related studio release.

It's morning somewhereee!
Plus, some schools do it year round
so you're right, from a certain point of view.

I haven't listened to it yet. Honestly though, I'm pretty topped atm with American Beauty and Terrapin Station. I'll check it out though, who knows, it might be the best.

1971-1975 was the band's peak.

I'd say they started to rise up starting in '69
Live/Dead has some of the best rock improvisation ever recorded.

Idk, their debut album was the bees knees. May not have been a great indication of where they were musically, but man, it was hard, loud, and energetic.

It's also a weekend. The joke fails on multiple levels.

Didn't see it in the thread.

This

Yeah but their live shows were always the focus, and those weren't anything special until the late 60's. I'd say Jerry's guitar playing was at its best throughout the the first half of the 70's.

thanks for this thread OP. I'm not a deadhead but this is just what I needed right now.

Sadly bobby didn't quite catch up until around 74-75. That's when the jazz influence started. What's your favorite live show?

Or started taking a stronger hold, rather.

This. Jam bands are all about the live show. youtube.com/watch?v=V1yh4e5ehM0
Regarded by many as the greatest dead show of all time, check it out

That is true.

ctrl+f for: "How did you come up with the name the Grateful Dead?"

some quality shit.

Found it online! Favorited so I can listen.
Honestly, so far I love Red rocks 78. It's a newer release but damn, Werewolves of london is just so celebratory you can't help but groove with it.

hopefully dead
