>this time get shit youll actually listen to.
lol classic 'if you have a lot of music you don't listen to a lot of music'
no, babby, your 50 gb of pop rock don't give you the right to hold '''''opinions''''' on music hahaha

Even so, you sound like the type to listen once and never delete anything

I'm not him but I have around that much
Why would I delete anything? I still have tons of space I don't use, and I revisit stuff all the time
Stop assuming shit and just accept you have a small library
People like you are so annoying
"Hurr, if you have lots of songs you must hate music" yeah really makes sense
You imbecile

quality > quantity

>you can't have good music because you listen to lots of music
yawn
More and more excuses for a small library
Admit it: You don't know enough music yet
One day you might know enough musicians to say you like this or that style
But for now, you're a babby
And being mad at me only shows how close minded you are
Maybe music isn't for you

that's not even what i said

More and more excuses for a unnecessarily large library
Admit it: You're pretentious
One day you might realise this, but for now you're just a pretentious faggot
And being mad at me only shows how close minded you really are
Maybe music isn't really for you

>>hdd crashed
how did it happen? i have ~700gb and i think if i lost it all i would srsly an hero

(OP)
>900gb
>no backup
>NO BACKUP
First you spring for one of these.

>2016
>not having backups

you deserve to lose everything

Both of you are on the spectrum. A fucking dick measuring contest over library size.

rutracker/soulseek

same exact thing happened to me a few years back

i cried

Start with your favorites, and go from there as artists/albums pop up in your mind. And if you dont remember it, it's probably not worth re-downloading.

get one of those rugged drives that can fall from the iss into a volcano and still function

i'm not even competing with anyone.
i'm just saying it's pretentious as hell to have 900gb of music.

i have ~500gb, but only cuz it's mostly flac for archival/sampling purposes

does that make me pretentious senpai

hdds just die, they are not made for eternity. that's why you need to backup.

>i'm just saying it's pretentious as hell to have 900gb of music.

not that user but merely having 900gb of music isn't "pretentious as hell". if he were trying to lord that over other people as if it were a mark of some higher distinction it would be vain and pretentious. but merely stating a fact like that isn't.

you are projecting here because your ego feels slighted over someone potentially being more erudite. and if anything is pretense here it is your projection.

those are spaghetti

wait. i just read his past posts.

you are right. this cunt is indeed pretentious as hell.

yes, if the vast majority of music that you have were made of artists that you used to listen to, or haven't listened to much of.

but also no because of sampling purposes, which actually gives you a proper reason to have as much.

backing up hard drive

>get one of those rugged drives that can fall from the iss into a volcano and still function
Like this bad boy right here. Srsly OP, I only got 132GB and I back that shit up every week.

you are fucked if you buy a WD.
dont do it.
ever.
id even look into solid state with no moving parts

>But for now, you're a babby
>And being mad at me only shows how close minded you are

i had over 2TB of FLAC alone and another 2TB of lossy in the past. it is gone. i don't care. this means nothing. i wasn't better than others for having it. it is no merit of character to simply own a lot of digital files.

you are a pretentious fuck who is still stuck in the same old bullshit adolescent egotistical vagaries. for all your hoarding and supposed open-mindedness you still act like your average teenage dip about it all.

good one, genius.

>t is gone. i don't care. this means nothing. i wasn't better than others for having it.
what kind of faggot thinks this?
some of us just listen to a lot of music.

>what kind of faggot thinks this?

literally the guy i was replying to, apparently.

I've had mine for the last 3 years with no problems. But yeah my next one is going to be solid state. I really like that whole no moving parts thing.

start streaming user

>i wasn't better than others for having it. it is no merit of character to simply own a lot of digital files
but that's exactly my point
you're the one who started to whine because op had lots of files
you're the one who implied that he doesn't listened to his music
you're the one who said that "quality > quantity" when no one implied on the quality of the music
you're the one that implied that people with large libraries don't listen to music
and I'm the pretentious one? you're literally being pretentious over nothing
and you're clearly butthurt about me having more data than you

>unnecessarily large library
what does that even mean? I can have an infinity of files, how's that bad?
you want me to be pretentious I can start spawning bullshit about how I know more about music than you but unlike you I don't use the size of my library to imply on someone's appreciation (read: >quantity>quality)
you're advocating that having smaller libraries means you like music more
you're the pretentious one because you want to feel superir over having less files

>you're the one
>you're the one

na bro. jumped into the thread late. i make this mistake sometimes too. we all do. it's hard to keep track when everyone is anonymous.

if this user was being shitty then he was being shitty but regardless of what was said if he managed to get you to a point where you were saying things like:
>you're a babby
>Maybe music isn't for you
then that managed to inadvertently expose some latent memekid pretension that you still hold over all of this.

by the way it's pretty easy to spot your bullshit
and 2TB is not that much
Had I downloaded the discography of all the artists I know I'd have much more than that
BUT AGAIN it doesn't matter
you're the one who's saying that having more = likes less
you are literally making up your own logic to fill your ego
>boy it does feel good to have less data
that's you, that's how you sound

gardfiel because he can just eat the lasagans

see:

I don't know who's who anymore
but I think we can all agree that it mega bytes mean shit
actually even if one hear all the music it still means shit
oh well

>but I think we can all agree that it mega bytes mean shit

basically, yeah.

garfiel because he likes lasagna alot and hes hungry everytime lol

>what does that even mean? I can have an infinity of files, how's that bad?
because you don't even listen to all/most of it

>you want me to be pretentious I can start spawning bullshit about how I know more about music than you but unlike you I don't use the size of my library to imply on someone's appreciation (read: >quantity>quality)
if you are that guy: you already did that
>You don't know enough music yet One day you might know enough musicians to say you like this or that style But for now, you're a babby
implying you know more about music, placing yourself above others

>you're advocating that having smaller libraries means you like music more
no i'm not. you're advocating that having larger libraries means you like music more

>you're the pretentious one because you want to feel superir over having less files
there's no reason to place myself above others because of my library. why would i brag about having ~50gb of music?

This has happened to me several times. I just go to soulseek and grab all my favorites and then add more over time again. I never back it up because it's so easy to do this

This is why you pay for music. I only buy CDs now, and if it's not on CD, i listen through spotify. I do keep FLACs of all my cds but if my HDD fucks up, nothing will be irredeemably lost.

its some italien crap ssame shit

Can anyone recommend a good backup hd that isn't too expensive?

Are cats even allowed to eat cheese?

you are sad. i feel sorry for you.

How are you making yourself out to be more than what you actually are by owning 900GB of music? Unless he only actually owns 500GB but says he owns 900GB

No, the government installs cheese sensors in the mouth of every newborn kitten. A highly trained SWAT team will bust through your window and shoot to kill if they detect a cat eating cheese.

-not having a physical collection
-not being part of a private tracker to bookmark your favourite albums
-not having multiple HDDs
-not keeping a .docx or notepad file of the albums you've listened to
-being OP

OP you eggplant.

happens to me all time lastfm helps to keep record of your library online

Listen up, you fag

I've got 3 terabytes of 60's pre-ambient

800 gigs of live recordings of this local band called the fuckerfucks. They played only 2 shows before breaking up but I had 11 redundant recording rigs all recording flac which I then layered over one another for 25,000 kbps bitrate.

8 terabytes of the beatles. No not THOSE beatles, the new beatles. They haven't recorded an album yet and technically they're not really a band yet but they're indie-gospel-post-funk-punk style is going to be huge when you guys hear their stuff in about 5 years.

4 petabytes of the Ethiopian Free Jazz wave that occurred in 1973 in a town called Wenji Gefersi.

18 terabytes of sound check recordings from the mid 90's band LFO. They only scored a hit with "I like girls (who wear abercrombie and fitch)" but they were way ahead of their time.

That's just my C: drive. I have 41 drives.

>not keeping a .docx or notepad file of the albums you've listened to
thank god, i thought i was the only one in the world to do this lol

you had me fooled until you said that was you c: drive, no one stores files on their c: drive, it's for OS only

>no one stores files on their c: drive,
iii-i-i-i-i do

>implying I don't mount and unmount drives when needed
>implying I use windows
>implying I'm a pleb

hang yourself bruh

Similar feel the other day, except most stuff was backed up.
Buy an external drive, it's worh it.

Hey Donald
