Did Loveless get BTFO?
>the production was not actually very complex and if you loved it you're a douche
bravo
>Hey LOOK at this piece of shit clickbait article written by someone who knows jackshit about music!
this
Not even worth a skim guys
it's really sad the writer of this article has to spam it on Sup Forums to get anyone to give a shit lmao
no, because its an article from 2012 that nobody has seen until now
Finally, someone said it.
i mean if anything the fact that the production was actually minimal just makes it that much more impressive
Did loveless rape him or something?
Talk about a contrarian
>didn't read
No
(You)
This is Vice tier stupidity that completely ignores the fact that Loveless is objectively a groundbreaking album that changed music production.
wtf i hate loveless now
Ehh, i think it's more of an instance of someone who loves a record somewhat tongue-in-cheek criticizing it. Don't get so butthurt about it.
I'm sorry but I will get butthurt over baseless criticism
This guy is basically saying for an entire article
It doesn't ring of someone who loves it pointing out minor flaws
I swear to gods, this album is the most overrated piece of music I know. I agree, first four tracks are pretty interesting, but everything else is just mediocre pop-rock compositions obscured by noise.
>I swear to gods
yikes
I've been saying this for years.
>if you like loveless you're a douche lol
is this a joke?
Nope, still my favorite album. Good thing someone's review doesn't ruin music for me.
there's so much better shoegaze out there than loveless
same author
>If the U.S. was an emoticon, it would be that frowning, teary-eyed yellow face. If it was a meme, it would be "Sad Keanu."
J O U R N A L I S M
who dis qt?
>ywn be a privileged little shit writing worthless clickbait articles for a shitty website for a living.
Is Loveless the most liked album on Sup Forums? It seems that way to me, it's the one album that both has massive spread and little criticism.
fucking all of this
albums such as m b v
All im reading is some faggot being butthurt because loveless is goat
Lol, you don't know who Kevin Shields is? He's he's the qtest.
I already thought it was weird, I bought an official remaster when visiting the UK a couple years back. Fucking ancient article, aside from being really written by some pleb not knowing how to handle anything but Oasis.
it's up there. only other album i can think of off the top of my head that Sup Forums seems to unanimously like would be like pet sounds or something
I fucking hate this cancerous faggot behavior that Loveless fuels where kids think shoegaze has to be extreme noise wall of sounds, so they look up other shoegaze bands and claim that they are shit or not even shugazi because it doesn't sound like Loveless.
Shit like Ride somehow being britpop and Souvlaki supposedly only having one good track are prime examples of this.
Pet sounds gets alot of shit, in fact i hate it
It is an amazing album
>Pet sounds gets alot of shit, in fact i hate it
i take back my nice tone in that message, fuck you
Pet Sounds is literally only like four people or something desperately samefagging and shitposting it to death. People generally just thought it was an okay pop record a year or two ago.
>People generally just thought it was an okay pop record a year or two ago.
it literally defined pop records you hole
>author of article is a fan of the vaselines, sigur ros, kiss, and metallica
lmao fucking fagg
Since I Left You and Remain In Light are probably even more liked
So did the Beatles, and they're not even close to being Sup Forumscore.
>loveless-isnt-as-good-as-you-think
Fucking clickbait bullshit don't tell me what I like
>music production
well no
DELET DIS.
The Beatles aren't Sup Forumscore because the fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
In a sense, the Beatles are emblematic of the status of rock criticism as a whole: too much attention paid to commercial phenomena (be it grunge or U2) and too little to the merits of real musicians. If somebody composes the most divine music but no major label picks him up and sells him around the world, a lot of rock critics will ignore him. If a major label picks up a musician who is as stereotyped as can be but launches her or him worldwide, your average critic will waste rivers of ink on her or him. This is the sad status of rock criticism: rock critics are basically publicists working for major labels, distributors and record stores. They simply highlight what product the music business wants to make money from.
loveless meme kid detected
the simplicity of the production is what makes it amazing desu. that article is whoosh, everything went way over his head
Angelic Process is the best Shoegaze band anyway
this
Irrelevant clickbait """"""""""""""""""""article""""""""""""""""""""
Oasis is great. Stay pleb.
Solid argument, I'll better my ways for sure now.
Well yes. Practically the whole fucking world agrees that Loveless has innovative production. You and the author of that article are the only ones who deny this.
it really doesn't.
kevin had the recording sound exactly as it did when it came out of the amp or whatever. it's even in mono cause he said he didn't like stereo shit.
WTF I hate Loveless now
pointless clickbait
isn't anything is still a better album
>The most unique and complex pieces of art spring from the most elaborate and ambitious methods, right?
i know the last post was an hour ago but i just want to say this is the dumbest thing ive ever seen, i've met people that think like this and they are satan spawn
WAHHH I DONT LIKE THIS, WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THIS
