5/10, instrumentals really good, but the singer sounds like he wants to die.
Why is this so overrated?
he sounded borderline suicidal on some songs, who would want to listen to sad music?
transcendent bait
Isn't that the point? Gothic rock? Post punk? No?
by the name of the album (unknown pleasures) the band suggests that we should be getting pleasures that were unknown before by listening to it, not depression.

>but the singer sounds like he wants to die.
probably cause he killed himself
>the singer sounds like he wants to die.
...
I always thought it refers to gay sex and pleasure of being cummed inside.
>the singer
as in one? you fucked up bud
I guess I should read the op next time...
u got memed
really makes you think
Damn.
I didn't really like it either. It dragged on and on and on. It just felt slow, uninteresting and boring.
It's one of those albums you listen to a couple of times for its historic value (or let's be real, the album cover), then never go back to. There are dozens of more worthy post punk releases to listen to, their 2nd LP included.
Closer is by far the superior album
holy shit you aren't trolling are you?
This. It's much more emotional and atmospheric
the classic "2nd album is better" bait
I could say the same thing for the "le first album is always the best"
...
Disorder is the best Joy Division song.
*kisses you on the cheek*
The final tracks of Closer are the best things they've ever done.
but the singer sounds like he wants to crrryYYyyyyyiyiyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
This is true, not sure if the Seinfeld effect is doing it to me but I can't help but think of bands that sound like joy division but better, disorder is a 10/10 song tho
