Top five
1 Aladin Sane
2 Station to Station

When is he coming back?

1. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
2. Low
3. Hunky Dory
4. Station to Station
5. "Heroes"

The ultimate pop icon.

1. "Heroes"
2. Station To Station
3. Low
4. Blackstar
5. The Next Day

I'm not glad he's dead but I'm glad he's gone

1. Station to Station
2. Low
3. "Heroes"
4. Ziggy Stardust...
5. Hunky Dory.

There's the objective top 5.

Well I guess it's about that time that I finally get around to listening to Station to Station.

What am I in for?

An enjoyable 40 minutes or so.

Put Blackstar at 5 and Ziggy at 4.

CRACK BABY CRACK, SHOW ME YOUR REAL,

SMACK BABY SMACK IS ALL THAT YOU FEEL

SUCK BABY SUCK

GIVE ME YOUR HEAD

This is the only correct answer

Real good shit. Also, the first track is long and ambitious, but pay attention to the rest of the album too, it's fantastic.

I don't like Ziggy, it's been more than a year since the last time i listened to it tho

The title track is fuckin majestic.

i liked pity she was a whore and the homer whoo he does makes me crack every time. he just sounds really happy on blackstar i cant explain it

undisputed top 5 (he told me it's correct right before he died):

Scary Monsters
Let's Dance
Low
Heroes
Young Americans

Honorable mention: Station to Station

>Having the album that killed Bowie's career in the '80s anywhere in Top 5

2edgy4mu

eh he's ok.

Blackstar is his best album, Ziggy is overrated.

Hell be fine.

>Low not being in your top 5
plebs please leave

...

Memewie

Of what?

LET'S

he has some good albums, but i have no interest in anything he did after the berlin stuff. i've tried listening to it but i can't deal with all that cheesy 80s shit

1. Outside is a return to his Berlin stuff.

Scary Monsters is one of his best albums though.

The Gouster when senpai?

Hell be fine

this
hope it'll be more diamond dogs than young americans tho

1. Low
2. Station to Station
3. Blackstar
4. "Heroes"
5. Ziggy Stardust

honorable mention to outside

Heroes literally does everything Low does, but better. Low is fucking overrated.

Not a fan of the B side to Heroes, in comparison to Low

This. The pop songs on Heroes are better, then ambient songs on Low are better.

As a whole Low is better, Side A of Heroes is superior to Side A of Low, but Side B of Low is immensely better than Side B of Heroes.

It is not going to be fine.

Why is Hunky Dory here over Lodger?

Why do people think Low is such a great album? Ive listened to many times over the years. Is it because Pitchfork told kids it was great?

He was a Legend.

Because Brian Eno is an amazing producer and Bowie went from being a popstar to making avant garde minimalist music which is unheard of for someone like him.

Ziggy stardust is the only album of his I really like

Broad your pleb horizon.

But Let's Dance was pretty good, Tonight is what destroyed his career in the 80s.
STICK IT!

1. Station To Station
2. Heroes
3. Scary Monsters
4. Low
5. Blackstar

>Scary Monsters
>1. Outside
>Earthling
>Heathen
>Blackstar

meh, nothing he's done is above a 6/10

Let's Dance and China Girl are good songs. Don't really care for the rest.

>Heaten above Low
Mama mia that's some bad taste.

Go to bed mom

Let's dance is amazing.

Don't get me wrong, Heathen is good, but it's not top 5 good

What are opinions

Your mom has good taste.

Is the Berlin Trilogy the greatest triptych in music?

>Low
>produced by Brian Eno

triggered

Even if his stuff was 50% look and style, the man put out multiple 10/10 albums, and helped innovate music as a whole, even if some of it was through other people's ideas.
I guarantee you without Low, ambient and the kind of sounds it had would have probably never really broken into the mainstream, or at least would have much later with Eno's name nowhere in sight.

Station to Station is an objectively better version of Young Americans

i love him

Dislike him. A cheap sensationalist, clumsy and vulgar. A prophet, a claptrap journalist and a slapdash comedian. Some of his scenes are extraordinarily amusing. Nobody takes his reactionary journalism seriously.

Low. His best work, though an obvious and shameless imitation of Harmonia's "Musik von Harmonia".
Aladin Sane. Dislike it intensely.
Heroes. Dislike it intensely. Ghastly rigmarole.

>plastic soul

How pretentious.

>calls the long used term "plastic soul" pretentious, but not the post directly above his that uses meaningless buzzword criticism with an attached sculpture image in a sad attempt to look more "patrician"

mahnigga

although the top 3 are kind of equal so i wouldnt put one above the other

>NO HUNKY DORY

wtf plebs?

1. "Heroes"
2. Hunky Dory
3. Station To Station
4. Blackstar
5. Low

His was an obvious trollpost though.

aw shit I missed

I do love Hunky Dory but it is just outside my top 5, 2bh trying to choose a top 5 of Bowie is really hard

1. "Heroes"
2. Aladdin Sane
3. Low
4. Diamond Dogs
5. Blackstar

damn...

Incredible artist, beautiful man
top 5 in no order
>Low
>Heroes
>Ziggy Stardust
>Hunky Dory
>Outside

Station to Station is best desu

1. Diamond Dogs (nobody can disagree that sweet thing is among his best work)
2. The Man Who Sold the World
3. Aladdin Sane
4. Station to Station
5. Heroes

Honorable Mentions: Outside, Reality, Blackstar

what don't I think about him

m.youtube.com/watch?v=XAj2iX9xqCo

youtube.com/watch?v=zCqsJzBwjNQ

nobody really likes to talk about this one. David himself said it was his personal favorite.
