Vegh is a top conductor and was especially adept at Mozart. I remember SDF recommending me that Schiff comp. with him solely for the orchestral accompaniment and it really is quite good. A shame we don't have recordings of him in Mozart's opera.
Schiff/Schitt is variable but I've learned to at least respect the guy. Listened to all of his lectures on Beethoven's sonatas and they were interesting. Plus, the guy lives Edwin Fischer. I can't hate him after that.

Chopin as a whole (as opposed to individual pieces by Beethoven, Bach, etc.) is the go to composer for """people""" who use classical music as an accessory. It's easy to associate the two as one and project the hatred for those kinds of """people""" onto Chopin. Of course there are people who dislike him for legitimate reasons as well, for many it's probably both.
