I loved Wildflower. People thought the features ruined the album, but I thought the exact opposite. I thought they fit into the album nicely and made the album great
Benjamin Rivera
Yeah, I did't have an issue with the features either. It all made for some really great moments. Camp Lo steals the show for me.

My friend has a first pressing of SILY. It cost him around $300.
Camden Price
OP here, its totally missing some great tracks but here are all the samples the avalanches have used on a spotify playlist.
Thee same for me, the transition is just perfect. Oh and all of Electricity ofc
Juan Cox
Did anyone pick up that re-issue?
Caleb Carter
I got it. I thought about canceling it once I heard about samples being omitted, but Bleep had it shipped five minutes after I placed my order.
Joseph Phillips
I thought it was just the zomba samples being removed. They removed more?
Samuel Martinez
Honestly the more Wildflower as an album grows on me, the more Frankie Sinatra as a song grows off me
Evan Martin
It's a good song.
Liam Jackson
IMO SILY isn't the kind of album you own on vinyl. It's better listened to from start to finish without having to get up to flip the record every 22 minutes.

That and around 2:45 mark of Live at Dominoes when most of the noise drops out and it sounds super disco I fucking love that part

I really like Wildflower, I don't think that it can really live up to SILY because SILY might be my favorite album of all time - I was introduced to it through Sup Forums a while back and I instantly fell in love with it ... That album has gotten my through very bad times but also good times so it's got enormous sentimental value. Wildflower just doesn't feel as vast and indescribable, which is totally fine. A review that I read (can't remember where) mentioned that both SILY and Wildflower operate on the idea of nostalgia but SILY's nostalgic sound is something that can't be categorized in any simple or meaningful way other than vague overarching categories whereas Wildflower replicates a specific type of sound: psychedelic stuff. It makes Wildflower more easily categorized but erases the mystique and indecipherable nature of SILY. I still really do think it's a great album and I'd argue that it'd be much more appreciated (even though it's been well received which I think is much deserved) if it wasn't being compared to SILY, which is to me a nearly perfect and absolute piece of music with no easy comparisons. Also if anyone has just gotten into The Avalanches and wants more, check out their DJ sets they'll knock your fucking socks off... You can find them neatly compiled and on mediafire on the avalanches subreddit.

Noisy Eater is fucking great. It's the closest thing to Wildflower's Frontier Psychiatrist.
