Where do I start with Pop punk?

where do I start with Pop punk?

...

also the only pop punk album worth getting into period

this is also good i suppose

you don't

with the first album like you would any other genre

...

That album fucking sucks. Garbage vocals, bad "melodies", boring playing.

Blink-182, every album from Dude Ranch to Neighborhoods is the proper answer.

These. Along with The Ergs and Jawbreaker. Depends how much pop you want or how much punk.

I can't handle this band. They're too try hard edgy and the lyrics/vocals are too whiney. Reminds me of A Day to Remember.

>Blink - 182

I'd say Everything Sux is okay too

If you're like going at this as an exercise
Don't Back Down -The Queers
Americana - Offspring
Dookie- Greenday
Enema of the State - Blink 182

Though, if you're not 16 and angsty it's not a particularly enjoyable genre.

this, basically.

pic related.

...

cont. though desu Offspring and (some) Green Day hold a special place in my heart.

imo it's pretty much a time-and-place genre, it sounds so dated and lame these days.

>That album fucking sucks.
>Blink-182

red flag followed by an even bigger and redder flag.

Yo Blink 182 is fucking great

what are some good blink-182 songs, all i've heard from them so far sounds like they make background music for frat parties for pg-13 movies.

Mother's Day

Brand New and Paramore.

Dude Ranch is terrible, mate.

I'm an avid garage rock fan and my band members are all pop punk fanatics. I really don't get the appeal, the screaming, guitar tone and lyrics remind me of nu metal with thrash metal riffs and the tempo a lot of these bands like FYS or TSSF seem to be way to slow to be considered punk. I also didn't like that a majority of the songs don't have an ongoing strumming progression while the singer sings but instead they strike a chord once or twice every beat or tow. It sucks because I play bass, sing and rhythm guitar and I can't seem to find any enjoyment in this type of music. Can anyone recommend me an my bands like PUP? They're the first band that has turned me onto the scene, I like their tempo speed and a lot of their verses and chorus sound much more like a garage rock especially FIDLAR
