Liturgy/Kel Valhaal/HHH/TBM

I mean seriously, he's a white hipster from Brooklyn quoting Nietzsche CARRYING A KATANA. It's like being a living punchline.

So what do you guys think of his Ark Work/post-Ark Work stuff? And the v a p o r w a v e a e s t h e t i c s and the mythology stuff?

it's about romanticism, you just don't get it

>CARRYING A KATANA
looks like a zweihander to me senpai

>not a katano

Hunter may have autism and be completely disconnected from reality but I have tremendous respect for the man for essentially pissing off a ton of elitists in the most elitist filled genre. Also for seriously pushing musical boundaries.

He's definitely a smark guy, but the mythology thing is really bizarre.

Seems like a nice dude. I'd talk about the weather with him.

OP, did you even open the thumbnail you are posting?
Since when do katanas have a straight double-edged blade, a cross guard and a leather-covered forehilt?

>seriously pushing musical boundaries
Did he? I liked the Ark Work, but I'm not a big metalhead/black metal purist or anything, and while I haven't heard an album quite like it, I don't know if I'd call it boundary pushing…

it was funny until you realized he was serious, then it was hilarious for a different reason; listen to zs if you want to hear greg fox get his shit in

it's fun to make wrestling-related jokes about triple h, too

>New Slaves > Xe
Though Fox isn't on NS iirc but whatever

shutup nerd

Go to bed Hunter

Here's the thing about HHH. The things he gets lauded for attempting have already been achieved before; what's special about his music is that he's attempting to do all these things at once.

So, he's pushing boundaries, but the boundaries ain't gonna budge just because he's pushing at them.

He's kinda qt in an autistic way.

Are you Sansa Stark from the beginning of GoT, or what?

is he the avey tare of metal?

is he the aaron ellis of metal?

no Aaron Ellis is the Aaron Ellis of metal

is he the jason aldean of metal?

/lit/ here. 99% of all people who quote nietzsche quote him completely out of context. he is quite possibly the most misappropriated philosopher of all time.

fuck even i'd think twice before hazarding to quote him in a social setting.

/lit/ is awful you guys don't know shit

HHH graduated from Columbia. wbu?
where's your music project bro?

how do you browse that board? it looks like not even a third of threads are serious

same way you browse Sup Forums

>/lit/ is awful you guys don't know shit

/lit isn't an homogeneous entity.

you are a memeperson.

>uses the word meme
typical /lit/ shitposter thanks for proving my point!

the typical goal in baiting is to make the other person more emotional than you currently are.

that is the typical goal, anyway.

he's holding a zweihander you fag

ah yes I was only pretending to be stupid.
can't wait for you to start saying spooks next

"spooks"

let's be honest, 95% of Sup Forums posts aren't serious, or are serious in intent but not worth seriously considering

I kinda liked it, though I felt there being only 3 tracks worth listening to on a 7 track release was pretty disappointing.

Video's pretty good too

>Nietzsche
>philosopher

wew lad

I wonder if Michael Gira has ever listened to any Litrugy / Kel

he even praised their drummer, and HHH played guitar at the end of Look at Me Go

I grew out of metal a long time ago

>>Nietzsche
>>philosopher

wew lad

I feel like praising Greg Fox isn't really just a Liturgy thing. There's a connection there to Thor Harris via Ben Frost as well.

>HHH played guitar at the end of Look at Me Go
I didn't know about that, though. That's pretty cool.

Their drummer was pretty phenomenal.

But his music is "metal" for people that's not into metal, user

eh it'd be cool if he did metal

Is that your reflection in the lighter

Liked Liturgy first two albums, kinda mah on Art Work, interesting but not as enjoyable as previous efforts imo. Listening now to that Kel Valhaal thing and... it's weird man...

I can say I liked it, no shit.

>Nietzsche
>philosopher

what did he mean by this?

I want to bone him so hard goddamn

oh user that's so silly
kinda but it took a complete nosedive after the first two tracks
