Ween - The Mollusk

>it's also the only good melody

What albums do this? I love this.

...

Doesn't even need to necessarily be the opening melody. Callbacks in albums are some of the best moments, especially when put in different contexts. Red House Painters 1 is a good example of this where they include a piano version of a previous song. Idk why it is so nice, but when a familiar melody or musical phrase is repeated way later in an album it always ends up being one of my favorite parts

>Album has no melody

Two headed boy part 2 is my fav. That moment when the chord progression changes into two headed boy part 1 is fucking god tier

Listened to three seconds of it and x'd it out

It's one of the best emo album of the decade you faggot

Can't listen to that effeminate voice.

Not opening but Salvador Sanchez into Pancho Villa

How do i get into Sun Kil Moon?

Here then April, then go back to RHP

your loss senpai

I really love how you can hear a bit from the glow pt. 2 in the intro to mount eerie. It's like pottery

Moonlover

perfect way to end the album

Always like Ninteen Hundred and Eighty Five for this

this was pretty well done

Nonagon Infinity

>melody is actually another melody played backwards

its funny because "ocean man" was played at the end of the spongebob movie

>colorful keyboard arpeggios
fucking beautiful indeed

Speak to Me - Time

Celldweller - Wish Upon a Blackstar

I chuckled when they did it, it was a nice way to wrap it all up.

Go to Panera Bread and listen to Ghosts or Benji. Try listening to some of Mark's work in the RHP to get a feel for his aesthetics.

It also helps to be sad.

Deerhunter - Weird Era Cont. ends with the beginning song of Microcastle

**OPENS THE DOOR**

...

>album gets better as it goes on

>album ends with a violin version of the first song

>album's last song is the first song badly mixed

...

Blood Fire Death.

Sort of

Mellon Collie

...

How does Pet Sounds do this at all?

this starts, and ends, with calm ocean noises

Caroline No ends with a short acapella version of Wouldn't It Be Nice.

>When the theme to Close to the Edge reprises on the 4th side of Tales

Idk what version of Pet Sounds you have but I've never heard that in my life

I just looked it up, and it seems that different versions end differently. In the one I've been listening to, after the dogs/train there's a short reprise of Wouldn't It Be Nice

example?

Wings - Band On The Run

Beatles - Abbey Road (doesn't end with the melody of the opening track but it reprises a song that is in the middle of the album)

I bought a version of "The soft bulletin" that actually ends with "Race for the prize" Instead of the remix of "watin' for superman" so yeah if that counts...

This was a good one. I thought the album was over so it caught me off guard and gave me chills.

Not exactly the same melody, but it ends with a callback to the first song

Pic related, sort of.

Also, track 1 of Tales from Topographic Oceans ends the way it starts.

>Album has only one melody

The Tain

Moving Mountains - Pneuma

>Album ends with a shitty live track

Fuck u Massive Attack's Protection

This is kinda what's done in Hospice, but in there it just seems like a callback to a different time, like that distorted organ or whatever really sets off my nostalgia in such a beautiful way.

El-P - High Water

>"Album" - live in Japan

>tfw only the hit track is any good

Neither use exactly the same melody but instead the same chords and sounds.

...

Fits in perfectly with the nostalgia theme.

also The Wall

You might not be able to read

40th anniversary version
My copy did this too

i've read more books in the last month than you have your whole life boi

>Listen to a live
>It's actually a concert

Do you even /Sartre/ f a m

Ends with the opening melody of the First Album.

>fisrt song opens with "well now first of all"
>last song opens with "well now most of all"
soon

>the _______ album
>the _______ ep
>music for _______
>music to _______ to

Isn't this where..

yep

The outro of the glow pt 2 is the intro to mount eerie basically. They fit together.

music for airports is a cool name though

I'm gonna post this in the emoe discord and have them laugh at you

It's also a great album.

what

>Album ends

guys, I don't know if it was intentional or not, but Tim hecker slipped in the smallest snippet of a song from Radio Amor on Virgins. I freaked out when I heard it.

The main melody to "They call me jimmy" can be heard around 2:55 in "Virginal II"

Probably just a coincidence but I thought it was cool.

>last song badly tries to loop back into the first song

>album begins with the melody of the last song from the last album

I don't care what anyone says,I loved that album just for that

>Keep smoking
>We love you

>rap skits

...

>tfw the remastered version is actually significantly worse and hurts general the feel of the album

>what
what did he mean by this
