Who's your favourite producer?
Who's your favourite producer?
Well, I like the records that Steve has produced but I can't say that I really "get" his production style. I like it when records sound different to the band's live sound because it allows the band to exist in two different places of sound. Even if that means having records that sound really processed and squeaky clean, at least the band will sound different live.

No. I actually enjoy her productions. Case in point: clyp.it

Jon Hopkins
>producer
Yes. She produced all her songs.

currently him
Steve Albini is pure cringe
He made all that edgy af music with Big Black, Shellac, and Rapeman but he was a sheltered kid who grew up in like Ohio or something
>tfw you're ziplining and nobody understands your artistic vision
sorry, my bad
>producer worthy of any mention
literally who>
Seven Lions
me
Andy Morin (Flatlander) objectively one of the best producers ever.
Spector
She's worthy enough to have daily threads with 300+ replies on this board. That's what I call relevancy.
My fav producer is Steve albino because his name is on the back of my nirvana albums
Is that Rick Moranis?
cringe is a word that degenerates use
Not that utter and complete hack.
Albini is a fraud.
Trevor Horn
Just because she is mentioned doesn't mean she's deserving of it
teebs
>mfw underrated
True. But I listened to her music for a while (some years already) and I can tell you that Grimes deserves it. The way she mixes all those layers of sounds with her voice is really amazing. Her productions have a lot of small details (easter eggs) that always keep the songs interesting during their whole duration.
>Grimes
>interesting
I've listened to Visions and Art Angels multiple times and can't remember a single track from either of them
At least terrible bands/artists leave some sort of impact on me and Grimes can't even do that
No Brian Eno? wtf?
The only correct answer.
>I've listened to Visions and Art Angels multiple times and can't remember a single track from either of them
It's your fault if you have the memory of a goldfish. I could remember entire songs from these albums. They're catchy af.
>At least terrible bands/artists leave some sort of impact on me and Grimes can't even do that
Again, it's your fault. How come so many love her music? Maybe it's just not for you.
DJ Aaron Ellis
>you have the memory of a goldfish
There are double albums I remember front to back, it's nothing to do with my memory
Also, goldfish don't have 3 second memories dummy, it's been disproved multiple times
>How come so many love her music?
How come so many people love Twenty One Pilots?
How come so many people love Nickelback?
How come so many people love all the trashy pop music that floods the radio?
I like all my bands sounding the exact same too
Metro boomin. Dont care about general opnion, motherfucker got rich before turning 21 from his accomplishments. Shit inspires me.
he unironically has good production

Effects Twin
This is a meme/copypasta. Don't fall for it.
Pretty stupid reason to call him "cringe", but even then we're talking about producer Steve Albini. He's done a great job on some amazing albums that span all sorts of genres.
wtf Devin Townsend is a shitty producer
>I don't like thing
>therefore is objectively bad
You're wrong.
Grimes is a special exception to that rule
Grimes is actually great. Anyone with a decent taste could confirm that. I'm not even saying about critics and other artists that like her.

I think you're just to obsessed by her mustache to see how shitty she is. Probably a shitty childhood or something.
>I like thing
>therefore is objectively good
Way to not take your own advice dipshit
I didn't post that advice, dipshit.
You're just a trolling faggot. Fuck off.
Then why would you defend him if you don't agree with what he posted?
>Dirty Three
>Don Caballero
>Gastr del Sol
>Jawbreaker
>The Jesus Lizard
>Low
>Neurosis
>Pixies
>Zeni Geva
Steve Albini made all the best hard and heavy bands of the 80s and 90s crisp and clear so we could hear them better. I really don't give a shit if you "don't like" him. It's one of those opinions people only try on to make waves.
P. S. Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac all fucking suck.
you have a poop opinion
I am really tempted to agree. I just hate MC Ride so fucking much. No level of irony is enough to appreciate his objectively bad sounding vocals and cringeworthy lyrics. But Flatlander is amazing, especially on NLDW imo

gastr del sol and low are shit
and how the fuck can you leave out Newsom's Ys?
why does Albini hate vocals so much? He has almost ruined some great albums by burying the vocals too much.
>Ys
Shit album and Albini only recorded her vocals and harp, Dick Van Dyke Parks and Newsom were the ones that actually produced it.
My second fave is Exmil. The rest is shit, and you're shit, you preteen cockslave.

Is it bad if I like some of these
>Jeanette, the nutty German rock chick is doing the German shows, and is quite obviously trying to make up for the botch job she did last year. The hall we're playing is on the Reeperbahn: way-cool sleaze strip. Huge gaudy sex shops everywhere. They have many issues of Seventeen, this unbelievably twisted pubescents-fucking-like-weasels mag I first saw in Holland, and they have special Seventeen presents Teenager Action mags, which feature even younger couples in extended fuckoramas.
>Jaded as I am, I can't help but flip seeing a girl and guy of twelve or thirteen, tops, ramming Martel bottles up each other's asses. These are not the Dutch equivalent of abused trailer-park kids, either. They look to be in excellent health and seem to be honestly enjoying this. Makes all the conventional arguments against this kind of thing seem really silly. They're kids. Kids like to play with their own and other people's privates. They're just being photographed at it. Now, people who get a voyeuristic charge out of watching them, like me, I guess, well, we've got some grip-on-reality problems.
>There's maybe 1% of all pornography that has any effect on me, and it's definitely not a turn-on very often. But when it is, and it's as weird as this, it's pretty hard to take. Best and most hilarious knocked-up-and-horny- type future mom books I've seen. Hilarious pre-op TV/TS booty raunch too. Also saw one of the few authentic-dyke hardcore dildo/whole arm/tongue fuck bitch-on-bitch films I've seen. Two obviously into-it little butch foxes really going at it. Glad to see ya, gals, post-gig party is at my pad.
