What does Sup Forums think of the recent trend in mainstream hip-hop and R&B music of watered down dancehall/Caribbean flavoured tracks?
It's mostly being done by those Toronto OVO spooky alternative R&B artists, it seems they've all had a change of heart in the past few months and have become more upbeat.

Imagine beefing with an artist and then having to resort to literally carbon copying his song to maintain relevance.
And imagine that plan didn't work and you're still irrelevant.
This is literally Controlla fucking hell.

I don't mind Dancehall/Caribbean pop music when it's done well. Drake and Rihanna have some great tracks from that style of music but everyone seems to be failing miserably.

>What does Sup Forums think of the recent trend in mainstream hip-hop and R&B music Who cares? I mean wtf are you talking about?
Who cares what 40 specific artists out of the entire present and past musical universe do?
>"hey look those 40 metal bands from new zealand decided to use tribal percussion on their songs, what do you guys think?"
