It's just freakin' boring and most of it just blends into this dull noise. It's just lounge music or something. Not even really trancy or interesting, just a drowned out background beat; the album.
I mean I think the whole ton of sampling thing is interesting and all, and I appreciate the effort but the result is just so lame

I'm 50/50 on Aesop's shit.
IMO his earlier stuff is very opaque and will probably require RapGenius annotations.
But his later stuff, especially None Shall Pass and Impossible Kid, scale back the denseness and have harder beats, making them easier to bump your head along to.
I think Impossible Kid is an awesome balance between quotable lines and dense shit that you can sink your teeth into. At the very least, the damn thing is like 40 minutes so if you hate it at least it doesn't drag on too long
