When he stopped making club music on any level.
By the time rival dealer came out it felt a bit like he'd bought into his own hype. No energy or tension in his music anymore.
Remember Pirates, Southern Comfort, Distant Lights and shit? Compare how tight those sound to the BS on Rival Dealer. He dropped that DNB/dubstep edge completely and it just became tame home listening shit, which was like exactly something he didn't wanna be when he started.
But he had a good run and a huge influence so expecting him to never fall off is maybe a bit naive.
