Ty Segall - Emotional Mugger
Massive Attack - Ritual Spirit EP
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
James Blake - The Colour In Anything
Lone - Levitate
Floorplan - Victorious
Metronomy - Summer 08

this album. nothing has come close (though I hardly listen to music anymore).

Can you explain what you liked about that record?

I found the instrumentals decent but the vocals ruin it for me, they sound so mushy over the bassy instrumentals, and not to mention the overly political lyrics that aren't subtle whatsoever

Yeah lol fuck the catalog lmao

William Tyler - Modern Country
Dorisburg - Irrbloss
Kevin Morby - Singing Saw
Oranssi Pazuzu - Varahtlija
Ital Tek - Hollowed
Eric Bachmann - Eric Bachmann
Deakin - Sleep Cycle
LNZNDRF - LNZNDRF

Oh man I loved some tracks from that Dorisburg record but I couldn't find a download. Will go hunting now

Black Star
Life of Pablo
The Getaway
Bottomless Pit
Untitled Unmastered

pls no bully

Forgot my pic

is this a bait or what

>someone with shit taste doesnt exist
I SAID NO BULLY

my top 10

I don't mind the lyrics; rather the opposite (me and her obviously share political views, and thus the perhaps "preachy" nature of it doesn't bother me very much).

I never cared for her Antony and the Johnsons material -- that brand of piano balladery isn't quite my forté -- but I do like het voice, and it lends a really bombastic edge to the record, making het stand out from the crowd while still never feeling too misplaced (at least not to my ears). the production is great through-out, a lot of the songs are either catchy as hell or really interesting sonically (like those of Lopatin's solo-credits). I loved it.

I was so so disappointed with that album, I really like Antony & the Johnsons but Hopelessness sounds like it was written by a disillusioned high school student. 'Obama', in particular, was unbearably bad.

My favourites:
Radiohead - AMSP
Bowie - Blackstar
Marissa Nadler - Strangers
Mitski - Puberty 2
Ital Tek - Hollowed
Anderson. Paak - Malibu
Blood Orange - Freetown Sound
Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial
Eleanor Friedberger - New View
Sturgill Simpson - A Sailor's Guide to Earth

fucking no clue how I spelled "her" "het" twice.

my top ten10

Autechre - Elseq 1-5
The Gerogerigegege - Moenai Hai
Zeal and Ardor - Devil is Fine
Kel Valhaal - New Introductory Lectures on the System of Transcedental Qabala

Pic related is the best thing my country has done all year, musically or otherwise.

Show yours to the light.

Yeah yeah alright, my joke backfired. Let's move on.

That's because, apart from a couple of tracks, BP wasn't a particularly good album.

99.9%

...

let a joke go? do you know where you are? (hint: it's not Australia)

...

Devil is fine

...

so basically the 10 most popular albums to come out this year...?

You're a funny dude. Do you write your stuff mate ? Because this is top-tier humour right here.

This album is great from start to finish.

I agree
I was so hyped for this one and it delivered

Conduit Closing - Missteps.

Underrated by far. Hauntingly nightmarish. Just saw Missteps II was announced and may have gotten unreasonably excited:

goat year of the decade so far

Bottomless Pit and Blackstar

Iggy Pop - Post Pop Depression

>(You)

so basically the only ones you've listened to this year

...

this. also elseq

too many voices was terrible what the fuck are you thinking

get the fuck back to weird frontier

>falling for one desperate person trying to push a shit meme

uhm, I'm the one who recognized that meme
it was meant to him ?

My point is that those albums aren't memes (besides Ferraro and DG) despite the fact that one person is trying really, really, desperately hard to make them one. The "Weird Frontier" is literally just 1 to 3 ppl spamming.

David Bowie - Blackstar
Devon Welsh - Down The Mountain
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
Kanye West - The Life of Pablo
Animal Collective - Painting With

fight me

Has anyone listened to this one? It's pretty good.

Has anyone listened to this, Atlantikwall - s/t? It caught my eye on The Quietus' mid-year list, it sort of reminds me of new Swans mixed with early 2000s Animal Collective.
