It grew slowly on me too but after 5th listen over ~2 years I had my eureka moment or whatever the music equivalent of that is. There is an easy way to enjoy this album, just skip the beginning and start with When You Sleep, if you're bored with the rest just listen to Sometimes and Soon. Repeat the process until you become a patrician.

This is one of those albums where the first track is great and none of the other tracks can live up to it.

I love almost all of Unwound's music, but I couldn't bring myself to like more than three tracks here. A lot of them were just shit being thrown at a wall and occasionally a random sax solo comes in and completely throws everything off. By far their worst album.

I don't find them inaccessible, I just don't really feel much when listening to them.

99% of classic rock.
100% of classic trash metal from the 80s.

It's a grower, like just about every album here.
