The correct answer is Mendelssohn who isn't on the list. Voting for anyone else is a sign of poor taste.

His biggest achievement was shilling Bach. It'd be easier to imagine music history without him than anyone else. >He was brought up without religion until the age of seven, when he was baptised as a Reformed Christian.
Jaxon Lee
>His biggest achievement was shilling Bach
Extremely important.

You're missing the point, which is to remove someone whose influence you despise. The bigger the negative influence (in your opinion), the better.
And racists are not very concerned with religion.
Jaxson Cox
Bach probably would have gotten big even without him. Others, like Schumann, also shilled Bach. >despising the influence of any of those composers Mark of the pleb,
Aiden Ramirez
I'm surprised Mozart received 2 votes. Is this to spite the memers or do you really resent his influence?
Anthony Ramirez
>influence
lmao, what influence? bach and thoven were both a trillion times more influential, and there are maybe three people under the age of 60 that actually like Mozart's music (if you can even call it that).
Kevin Sanders
In this case, removing him wouldn't improve things all that much.
Jayden Cruz
>introduced sonata forms to the opera >revolutionized the orchestras role in opera >developed a highly original synthesis of the tragedie lyrique and opera seria in idomeneo >integrated polyphonic techniques into sonata forms >developed a number of sonata-rondo hybrids >bastardized variation form and sonata form (slow movement of the final f major quartet) >greatly expanded the role of woodwinds in the orchestra, to the point where the winds in his later piano concerti come close to being a third agent separate from the soloist and orchestra >wrote the longest and densest sonata form before beethoven's eroica (string quintet in c major) >extremely fond of chromatic suspensions, sometimes resulting in sonorities foreign to tonal music (whole-tone clusters in the c major haydn quartet's introduction, suspension chords in the winds in the development section of the 40th symphony) >basically perfected the piano concerto >praised by basically every composer worth their salt (Schoenberg, Chopin, R. Strauss, Debussy, Brahms, etc.)
William Richardson
well "disappearing from history" should include the deletion of his abysmal music, so that would be a plus
Eli Bailey
>Analysts of my music will have to realize how much I personally owe to Mozart. People who looked unbelievingly at me, thinking I made a poor joke when I called myself a 'pupil of Mozart', must now understand my reasons. This will not help them to appreciate my music, but to understand Mozart. And it will teach young composers what are the essentials that one has to learn from masters and the way one can apply these lessons without loss of personality. -Schoenberg

>It's kinda curious how Mozart is regarded as an inexhaustible wellspring of musical imagination by all composers worth taking seriously, with staunch modernists like Schoenberg and Debussy praising him as an inspiration for writing music that avoids the square phrasing, homogenous texture, immediate repetition and uniform expression of 19th century/"Romantic" music, but you..., hear nothing but repetition and derivation.

He had a considerable influence on objectively the most influential composer of the 20th century. Whether or not you hold his opinion in high regard is redundant, I was merely offering an example of Mozart's influence.
Noah Hill
>Mozart again proving to be 2deep4plebs What did Rautavaara think of Mozart, do you know Rautavaara shill?
I wouldn't say "best" but should be nice once its finished.
A very old song, from 2013. I was never influenced by NMH, never thought much of their songwriting. I tried to be unique back when I was doing this kind of thing, but the Beatles, Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley would be some of my primary influences for singer-songwriter shit, dont listen to any of them any more though.
I think its hilarious that someone would post my music in these threads.
