Nowadays rock sucks
Nowadays rock sucks
Bands still do them.
You just need to find them since they may not be as popular.
Is it by chance because you need to be on acid to endure the 20-minute holocaust of noise that was the 60s extended guitar solo? Things die out for a reason, you know
Bands just dont know the drill. Even guitarists dont know how to play but a few chords.
hahaha LE ACID XDDDD
LE DRUGS!! led zeppelini are the best
Nerd
i hate rock bands with hairy pretentious solos
HOW DID YOU KNOOOOOW
rock music sucks now because every band is scared of experimenting or being different.
People laugh at liturgy but they at least are trying to something different.
Hip hop is more open minded
What is left to be done in rock
So I guess you hate Marquee Moon. Sucks for you
tons of stuff
only uncreative people say
>oh but everything has already been done!!!!! All possible sounds, melodies, riffs, lyrics, and songs have already been made already!
let's see, let me just open my time trascending all knowing music book... nothing! it says rock has been exhausted forever.
Really this mindset comes from people who have a weird idea of what genres are.
Rock is just pop with guitars. That's it.
>not listening to extreme metal
top cuck
No it doesn't. Post rock/indie rock are alive and well.
Different ≠ good
Liturgy ≠ good, either
the fact that indie kids argue about how rock isn't REALLY dead proves that it is
If I said that hip-hop or pop is dead everybody would just say "wow you're an idiot they're obviously not dead"
But if I say rock is dead people are like "no-no it's not! of course it isnt! shut up!!!"
Nigga I'm a wizard.

Marquee Moon actually has a very disciplined solo, which was quite unlike most guitar solos
>Marquee Moon actually has a very disciplined solo
>a solo
>Marquee Moon has A solo
>meaning one solo
W E E W W E W
> using the word extreme to describe a genre you enjoy
indie rock has been inspired by (read: ripping off) the exact same bands for like 20 years now
obviously very alive
It's damn shame
a damn, damn shame
>Different ≠ good
yes, but people willing to be different is necessary to come up with new sounds and push a genre to grow
The whole "rock is dead" thing is a meme by the way. Rock still has a strong presence in the mainstream, and there are tons of less well known bands like Yeasayer continuing to make good rock albums.
Indie rock was just one example of a strand of rock that is alive and well, along with dozens of others.
Exactly, that album is awful for me.
>there are still bands making the same music over and over
>alive and well
doesn't mean there aren't good albums being made still but "rock is dead" seems pretty accurate right now m8
So is hip hop/rap dead? Cos since trap got big that genre has been going straight to shit.
Grime is the only genre that incorporates rap that is still going strong.
And there are a shit ton of good rock albums that came out in the last decade.
>So is hip hop/rap dead?
no because kanye is still making music
btfo
I never understood this meme.
