several reasons:
-they're played by attractive hip young men
-they include clear vocals that sound like they're from a pop ballad
-breakdowns sound like the guitars are rapping
and in the case of djent
-it sounds just like my dubstep mlg fps vidya shit

basically it's nu-metal without the monster costumes and with 20% less edge

personally i think because deathcore is heavier and more brutal than any old school death metal, and maybe you're happy listening to that dadrock stuff but i know there's better stuff available
