In all seriousness, it depends on the type of album. Big concept albums imo are almost always better experienced as one continuous thing. But if an album is just a haphazard collection of songs (looking at you, Led Zeppelin...) they're usually better enjoyed in like fashion.
Bringing it back to Grimes, Geidi Primes is a very loose collection. It is literally every random song she had lying around at the time (mentioned in several interviews iirc.) Whereas Halfaxa is much more of a focused set (imo probably why many people find it the hardest of her records to "get in to" is because it can almost seem like one continuous song.) Darkbloom and Visions are imo pretty upfront about wanting to be experienced continuously from beginning to end. Art Angels too - although in its case because of its overall consistency - it is also very forgiving of pulling out individual tracks for a listen.
