Does anybody else acknowledge how underrated Common is?
I feel like he was Taking on social issues and inner city problems almost 2 decades before Kendrick and Killer Mike came along.

Blowin' Up The World
Agreed 100%. Like Water for Chocolate and Be are classics.
I think Kanye kinda over-shadowed him and Lupe.
>I'm stupid and only like stupid music
Kinda sad desu.
dude, RESURRECTION'S A FUCKING CLASSIC. Not any songs talking about social issues on there though.....
>im insecure about my intelligence so if i dont listen to muh """smart""" music i'll be like those dumb plebs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please, tell me. What is there to discuss about Gucci?
>Uh yeah that song was fire senpai
>Ah yeah man that shit go hard
>That beat is a banger
>soooooo lit
Joey's verse is v good in my opinion
Post your favorite Young Thug songs
better than "woah man this track is so deeeeep, i think its a statement against the war in the middle east, it's wrong!"
>Who w/Future
>Keep it Going
>Amazing
>better than "woah man this track is so deeeeep, i think its a statement against the war in the middle east, it's wrong!"
It really isn't though.
At least we can talk about individual lines, the meaning behind them, double entendres, punchlines, how a rapper compares to other rappers etc.
If all you care about is whether the rapper is cool/hood or not, there's jack shit to talk about.
LOL No. It isn't.
> I am literally 15 and I think this is deep
>BEING STUPID IS COOL GUYS
>DO I FIT IN YET????
Kill yourself. It's people like you that are fucking up rap.
>OVER ANALYZING TRASH FROM SOME LITERAL WHO IS COOL GUYS
>DO I FIT IN YET?
Kill yourself.
Thank You!! This record is so fucking underrated. Best Common Album imo
these are amazing too
Common has done it all, such a huge figure in HH for all his Album themes and his social contributions
If you don't like lyrics, you're in the wrong genre faggot.
>I am literally 15 and think mumblerap is good
OH and your'e right about Kanye. Chance the Rapper could be added to that list as well. So much of Coloring Book was ripped directly off from Like Water for Chocolate and Be
>Freaky
>Hey I
>She Notice
>Worth It
I'd love it if he could do more Hey I kinda stuff.
who else /guilty pleasure/ here?
MOMS
Can we talk about this album? It's been creeping up my list of favorite hip hop albums for a while now. It just oozes colour and character, kinda feels like you're watching a cartoon in your head.
The production is fantastic. I really like how J-Swift used actual instrumentation in addition to some well chosen samples to give the beats that rich full sound.
Also, the fart joke on the cover is still funny 24 years later.
