I feel like the entire purpose of Death Grips was to express the hardships of Stephan, especially when it comes to mental illness. Yet nobody talks about that aspect of their music. Their fanbase mostly consists of a bunch of assholes who spam memes and don't really consider what the music is about. These people make no effort trying to connect, emphasise, or discuss what the music is about. For Death Grips, that has to be disappointing to them. Where their message is ultimately lost because of retards on the internet. You have MC Ride writing songs about his hardships with suicide with the song, "On GP" and there are thousands of people mocking it, or creating shit memes. It has to be disappointing to them for the point to fly over these neckbeard fan's heads.
