Pitchfork is the root of Sup Forums's general opinions on any band or album. Fantano doesn't influence nearly as many opinions outside of hip-hop and hipster metal on this board.

Want to know why that album is ignored by most people who don't consider themselves GY!BE fans (and even some who do, such as the majority of people on RYM)? Pitchfork gave it a 7 something, making it by far the lowest score from that band on their site.

To be fair there are plenty of bands, that if liked instantly make you a plebian. As a true patrician i will not stoop so low to list them out for the plebs.

I think what should label you as a pleb/patrician is how much you try to understand the music other than the sonic quality. It's not about what the music is, but how much effort you put in trying to connect with the message.
