Led Zeppelin

metal

My Bloody Valentine

Bowie

>inb4 anger

this only shallow is the only song i like from them

The Velvet Underground

Listening to 1 or 2 albums don't count as trying.

>Arcade Fire
>The National
>Grimes

that's pretty much all I could think of desu.

This

and somewhat Kanye. I think he has 2 great albums but the rest is pretty mediocre.

Radiohead. Or generally the entire rock genre.

This except I think Grimes is a little more accessible.

And here we go.

Smiths. They sound like bullshit every time i try to listen to them

Agreed. The National and Arcade Fire are both boring, and Grimes just isn't for me.

I know that feel but i aint mad cuz Spacemen 3 are so much better

>grimes
>my bloody valentine

Yes it does. That's like what, 20 tracks at least? Plenty to form an opinion based on.

Echo and The Bunnymen

Vampire Weekend

Death Grips. The beats are mediocre, his voice is annoying, and the lyrics are random. I dont get it.

OH BOY HERE WE GO

yeah

s m h t b h f a m p a i

frank zappa

this
but 2bh they were around like 5-7 years ago i would have loved the shit out of them.

>lyrics are random

Come on, that's just lazy bait

*if

Sufjan
Grimes
Talking Heads (psycho killer is a good song)

Alice In Chains

David Bowie

This is the truly mind boggling one.
Maybe it's because I never heard any of their music growing up but they just sound painfully mediocre.

Defeated Sanity

I seem to always be in a bad mood or upset whenever their music comes on the radio, I think that's why I've never been able to get into them

Kendrick Lamar, seems like music for white people to use to pretend their black to their white friends on the internet

Swans

I can't remember any of their songs aside from the 'FLEX YOUR MUSCLES' one

several:

The Beach Boys
Xasthur
The Beatles
Animal Collective (other than early stuff not credited to AnCo)
Tupac
Enslaved
Opeth
Dystopia
Scientist

and my greatest shame, considering how much i love and listen to all sorts of electronic/dance music:

Kraftwerk

Animal Collective
The Front Bottoms
Death Grips

Pixies and Drive Like Jew

La Dispute

Bjork, Joanna Newsom, and Radiohead tbqh familia

Bruce Springsteen
just plain boring, and I usually like rootsy kindof stuff

>Beatles
>Kraftwerk

You disgust me

And if you like electronic, you gotta hear Tomorrow Never Knows since the tape loops are so important

Weezer t b h

This desu

I agree with you

Kings Park is p good, might like that

that's okay user. while i disagree, i sill respect your opinion

I've never been able to finish a Weezer song. There's just something about them that just pisses me off.

Animal Collective (I like Sung Tongs, but i can't get into stuff like MPP.)
The Smiths (I like "Heavens Knows I'm Miserable Now" and some other singles, but I don't find the rest of their songs to be appealing at all, even while I like the lyrics and the guitar work.)
The Cure (Again, I like some of their singles, but when I was growing up I didn't understand them at all, like, I always thought they were some kind of "joke", that their looks didn't match their happy music at all, and right now whenever I see somebody saying they're depressing I fall to understand.)

Eric Clapton. I'm a big fan of a lots of blues, rock, and blues rock, but he's just boring to me. Layla is good though

What from the Cure have you listened to? They do have some pretty depressing shit and they're one of the main influences in goth rock. The appearance and aesthetic being part of it.

none are worth your time, except maybe the national

same

>I refuse to discuss music even on an ignorant and childish level

boards of canada

Holy shit I didn't know people could have such shit taste. Loveless is a 10/10

Listen to Various Failures first, then Soundtracks for the Blind, then To Be Kind, the The Glowing Man, then The Seer

animal collective- aesop rock-black sabbatTt

they suck stop trying

Grateful Dead and Genesis

Pink Floyd and Death Grips
This is true for a lot of people I've found. I like them but they have a similar sound to a lot, so I can see why maybe you wouldn't like them, but they have a few absolutely top tier songs.

animal collective

Gorillaz

I tried, but they just didn't stick.

that's cause they are

well tupac is the only one of those that isl less than decent
I mean I'm not sure about Scientist since I don't listen to jamaicans but

that´s right

90% of the shit people on Sup Forums commonly flip out about honestly

>I have anger issues

>Talking Heads
you don't even like once in a lifetime?

what floyd have you listened to?

That one's okay too

Primal Scream

This is the former drummer of the Jesus and Mary Chain, so naturally I thought it would be hard and distorted. Boy was I wrong

I mean, Movin' On Up's alright but everyone says Primal Scream are more dance than rock, which turns me off from them

They were they just hadn't received as much attention as they are now.

Have you tried listening to Cream? That's Clapton at his best.

swans, vamps, will i am, arianne grande, gaga, nirvana, misftis, children of bodom, adam lambert, nero, diplo, weeknd, calvin hurrr, taylor, 50 cent, 3pac, eminem, lil wayne, x japan, an cafe, yoko ono, john lennon etc

its a long fucking list but you know i dont like everything okay

Frank Ocean

Drake

American Football

That's easily the worst one of the bunch.

Jazz

I can't get myself to see it as anything but that music that plays and fancy clubs.

I understand you. It's really hard to listen to and appreciate jazz if you're not a musician. Being a musician is not a necessity, but it really helps with understanding and appreciating different genres of music. If you really want to get into jazz, don't start with Coltrane or Mingus right away. Start with Dave Brubeck or Bill Evans for example.

Aphex Twin

>always thought they were some kind of "joke", that their looks didn't match their happy music at all, and right now whenever I see somebody saying they're depressing I fall to understand.)
A lot of their material is a mixture of a sort of bipolar frantic happy go lucky and melancholy.

Their lyrically and sonically darkest stuff is on Faith and Pornography (especially pornography).

The album before Faith, Seventeen seconds is also notable as it is quite sparse and with a post-punk influence which lead to the sound found on the latter two.

>Seventeen Seconds

Yes it does, how much time is one supposed to waste on music one does not enjoy? His discography is diverse but not THAT diverse. I'm a huge fan of his but if you listened to Ziggy Stardust and Low and didn't like either you're not gonna like his other albums.

>music that plays and fancy clubs.
That's the opposite of what jazz has been for almost its entire existence. A lot of it is just covers of popular and show tunes.

GY!BE
Although I do think they are one of the best bands of all time.

>tape loops meme
>tnk being relevant to electronic music
Stop it!

what's the deal of Boards of Canada? it's just plain flat ambient electronic without any edge.

>bipolar frantic happy go lucky and melancholy
this
is pretty spot on

>he doesn't slam

swans

only in dreams is the only good song they made

St. Vincent

it's literally just her whispering with heavily auto tuned fart sounds in the background

Sufjan desu

The Microphones
American Football

Sunbather

Oh man you're missing out.

I meant to add: it's those damn drums. Way too obnoxious. And then I picture how crazy their must drummer look flailing away and his hair is probably flying all over the place and it makes me laugh. Then sometimes everything gets slightly off-beat and makes it all worse, can't take it seriously lmao

yeah I like posting bait too

MF Grimm he just feels like shitty DOOM

I don't think there could be a more wrong description of St. Vincent.

Twenty One Pilots. I don't know what white alternative teenage girls see in them. The music isn't very interesting or creative.

He does a good job on tick tick.... and a few off that one gingerbread album though the concept was really fucking corny
