How big is Sup Forums's music folder?

how big is Sup Forums's music folder?
or do you not have a music folder and why?

...

I deleted my partition with it recently so I only have the 40 gbs on my phone. Anything I really cared about is on my phone or I can just torrent it.

...

...

...

looks like you've just changed your porn folder name, huh

...

No size shaming please.

there's around 200 gigs more in different hard drives.

How does everyone stay organized? Sub folders by genre, just a long list in alphabetical ordered, do you change file names for continuity, etc?

>Downloading music free
>Not supporting the artists

MusicBrainz Picard

They don't support me either, fuck them.

...

Flac or mp3?

...

For mine (which is ) is

MP3 (94.2%); FLAC (3.9%); AAC (0.9%); WMA (0.7%); ALAC (0.1%); Vorbis (0.1%);

63.4% flac

average of 370kbps per song

586GB atm

For me ( )
599 kbps average bitrate
FLAC (56.8%); MP3 (41.4%); AAC (0.9%); ALAC (0.5%)

mostly mp3 320 kbps.

I stream a lot of music.

Well, I'd like to download more music but I am limited here, rip.

Music\[Genres and Subgenres, as diverse or general as you see fit for your library]\[Artist]\[Release in the form: Release Year - Release Name (format)]

I did this for all my music when I had like 30GB and introduced new genre folders when my library grew over time. I also kept a "New Music" folder and a corresponding foobar playlist in case I wanted to immediately listen to something new without organizing it first.
Organizing your music may seem overwhelming at first but it's a really comfy thing to do.

...

How specific do you get? I started tagging everything with a specific genre and ended up having to merge a ton to avoid ambiguity.

b r a s i l s i l

whats the point of this?
showing total time is much more reasonable metric

...

>downloading music in le current year
>not streaming everything

i don't use spot-a-plebâ„¢

I've got 14.5 days, in 46 GB

me neither I use gpm

good for you

the one with the 60.8 gb is albums i haven't heard yet
mostly mp3

is just 7 skies h3, the rest goes for streaming

I like to purchase my music instead of pirating.

157 GB

Music\Artists\Albums (by date)\Tracks

443 GBs of youtube2mp3 rips

Artist folders (alphabetical, "the" comes after a name (beatles, the)) with album folders. Winamp sorts the rest.

what is the consensus on musicbee's 'auto organise' thing
my folders are a MESS and I want to use it but I also don't want to end up with a bigger mess because the program sucks

>or do you not have a music folder and why?
Because i either delete the folder or i buy the cd if i like the music.

it's a mess tho

my folder was 35gb aprox. but my pc broke so now i'm using spotify

why u keep so many flac files?

Like this

I bet you listen to shitty 2010s memerap.

Have just under 500gigs

I know that feel. I doesn't help that I just keep adding to it though

It's quite shitty

...

I like to pirate my music instead of purchasing.

once you count various artist releases, I'm at 325 days

>music folder
i have a music drive
I also stream a lot now and haven't downloaded music since February

but I'm an autist and only add stuff to the main folder once i've tagged it properly so this is about a quarter of it all

I convert it to vorbis to listen to on my phone. When someone invents a new codec that gives better sound at smaller filesizes, I'll convert it to that instead. If I listened to mp3s I'd be stuck with mp3s.

...

i have a custom foobar copy script that organizes everything for me. i basically just add files to the player, right click->file operations->copy to, and run it. i can bind it to a key shortcut too if i wanted but i dont.

I don't even think this is a lot.

...

Approximately 2 TB

what do you have under african?

...

Shitty quality is because I'm on a tablet playing from my external at work. I've got a seedbox and usually just grab entire label releases off of what.

Recently deleted a bunch of stuff I tried from Noisetrade (there's nothing good over there).

The left is my live material, which is located in a separate folder.

>90% is MP3, averaging at 256, I'd wager.

As for organization, 'Music>Artist>Album with Release Year>Files'

I have quite a small collection because I don't see the point in having so much music that I'll probably never listen to/listen to more than once.
