started with some obvious ones, you can help me fill in the rest
I also thought that we could separate the original 60s psych pop and the neo-psych revival stuff in some way

Revolver and MMT would be obvious candidates but if you really think about the tracks a lot of them are not psych at all, but I guess MMT does have an edge

If you like psych music at all you will probably enjoy this album. It is all satirical and shits all over the hippy movement of the 60s (album was recorded in 1968). Zappa is fucking hilarious.

I feel as if Satanic Panic in the Attic is a better psych pop album than the gay parade, since the gay parade borders twee more than psych imo.
Where do we start and end the definition of psychedelic pop? I don't think there's much of a distinction between psychedelic rock and pop
Rock and pop can be confused as well.
For me classic psych-rock has more emphasis on guitar and drums, while psych-pop would feature more keyboard, be borderline baroque-pop at times, and feel more saccharine in it's production.
Personally I would consider Pipers to be psych rock, the Soft Bulletin to be psych rock (it really skirts the edge) and Forever Changes to be pretty close to the middle of rock and pop.
This is borderline identical to RYM's Top psychedelic pop albums
