Get some fucking taste
Bro check out Love Hotel by shango if you're into earl type vibes. It's a great album that's been slept on hard.
I guess listen to Vince Staples
his last album is nice
listen to tin wookie by Chester Watson, though he often sounds like a pastiche of earl's style. If not Lil Ugly mane is also alright for that lo fi Rap sound.
his last album is nice

You hear about Prima Donna? It's his new EP that's coming out this summer, apparently.
...
I'm hoping he goes for more of a sound like his Hell Can Wait EP. I liked that more than Summertime. Blue Suede's the best song he's ever done
...
Damn son those are some fine numbers
2011 was a the best year ever for alternative hip hop prove me wrong
Hopefully OP's still here to chec these fire recs
Oblivion Access by Lil Ugly Mane is similar to this and Earl has shouted him out before
You have a solid argument based on this album alone. HHAOTDSF
oblivion access was 5/10
>flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin and flippin and rippin and dippin
That album is so fucking good. Favorite tracks? Columns, Grave Within A Grave and Slugs are mine
Also Mista Thug Isolation, XXX, Das Racist's album, Goblin and Exmilitary
Hah so good
What up Anthony. On a tangent did anyone here watch that review? He didn't even mention Grave Within A Grave, one of the very best tracks. Garbage review
>all this backpacker rap
Heres some much more enjoyable shit about guns and bricks and bitches
I didn't like Goblin personally but all those others I agree with. XXX and MTI are both 10/10's
>tfw killa cam will never come back and record his final masterpiece with dipset

listen to UK grime faggot
trap music is ok too
Why is that inherently more enjoyable? Both can be great, just different. Here's some shit about slapping hoes and shooting guns I think is great
Everything Slug Christ has ever made is worth listening to.
...
UK grime is shit senpai, nobody has ever sounded good rapping with a british accent
I only said that because you called it 5/10. My bad I assumed you were intentionally referencing him because that's the score he gave. I come here too often and don't trust people anymore
calm the fuck down spergtano
Glad to see Slug mentioned. Seen him live before, and a friend of mine sold him bars
You're right, tripfriend, I'm sorry. I just wanted to make sure OP gets served with some fire ignorant shit as well. Pic related.

Ya I respect the diversity, thanks for checkin' me! Da Drought 1 & 3 are GOAT mixtapes, along with this masterpiece
If you're a fan of Nas check this out.
I used to have that mixtape on repeat in high school. I don't think I've ever heard 1 and 2 before.
Ya great mixtape. I was really impressed by his ability to reimagine already made tracks into his own image without copycatting. That's hard than it may seem
I like this one better tbqh
You must listen to the first. It's my favorite of them. Wayne spits fire all over it, and the beats are very consistent for how long it is
I like Trap Lord a lot but LLA is on a whole nother level for me. The production is absolutely flawless. TL has some great bangers but a few duds as well. I Love Murda Something, Let It Go, and Work
Will Future ever top this?
This should be up there with Illmatic and what not when people discuss "The Greatest Albums Of All Time"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVTIefN74vs
One thing about Trap Lord that not enough people give it credit for is that it cohesively maintains a dark, dreadful vibe from beginning to end. Sure, Ferg might have some silly wack lines here and there, but the subterranean, foreboding beats, the ad libs where he sounds like he's falling into an abyss, the weird little diversions like that song that's just the sound of him getting his dick sucked while slowed down vocal samples play over a distorted beat, or the sample in "Cocaine Castle" of the crack fiend crying about remembering the one day where she was just fucking lit, and wanting to get back to that day -- the sum of all these parts is an album that just engages you on a scary, visceral level. I love it so much.
>spoonfeed me
>everybody bites
>thinks there's something wrong with spoonfeeding
Fuck off autist
Oh it's definitely a very gloomy, grim album, I agree. And Cocaine Castle is a great song and very sad. I just don't care for a few tracks. I still love the album. I don't like Dump Dump which I know I'll get shit for. I just think it could've been better with some of the more subdued tracks and less absurd to assert that darkness and grimness more, ya know? Definitely a good album. I was very disappointed by Always Strive and Prosper. Hungry Ham's one of the worst songs of the year so far
Sent ;)
Roots Manuva ya dickhead
And Jehst
Always Strive and Prosper is traaaaaaaash. I haven't really dug any hip hop released this year other than Untitled Unmastered and Blank Face LP.
What have you heard? It's definitely been a little slow for hip hop this year, but there's been some good shit in the underground. I could give you some recs for shit I've liked. You listened to Aesop's album, correct?
...
...
Better Off Dead is 10000x better
Milo - things that happen at day // night
"i wish my brother rob was here" and "so the flies dont come" are also really good
im listening to a toothpaste suburb right now, im diggin it, the beats are really trippy
I think I've heard all the notable mainstream releases. Coloring Book, Pablo, Views, Still Brazy, Evol, Konnichiwa, the Desiiigner album. They all disappointed me.The new Aesop was ok but I've never really been able to get into him, his voice and flow aren't really my cup of tea. New Clppng was ok. I like Bottomless Pit, don't really know if that counts as hip-hop. If you've got recs lay them on me.
If you like the abrasive, loud stuff you might actually like what I posted, Elucid- Save Yourself. Noisy beats but a more normal fow and delivery, very new york-influenced. Check out
Illogic- A Man Who Thinks With His Own Mind
Count Bass D- Instantly New
Royce Da 5'9''- Layers
Bas- Too High To Riot
Oh and DEFINITELY check out Oddisee's EP Alwasta. It's absolutely fantastic. Very conscious and jazzy and groovy.
...
I will check these out, thanks
Yup. I think you'll find something you like. If there's one I'd rec the most it'd be that Oddisee EP. Also good taste in Gucci projects. That and Chicken Talk are two of his best mixtapes
Nigger
Thanks for this rec user.
>hot opinion
fucking tripcunts should commit suicide
What a fucking loser, that stance, that Domo hat. Totally not /fa/
Good thing the music is good
Currently MOTY
Woah chill out man. What was it I said?
This isn't fantastic damage...
