Opinions on music that are so wrong that """people""" who say them deserve to get instantly BTFO'd

I'll start

>Childish Gambino is a good rapper

Aerosmith being a good band

>Astral Weeks is boring

>it isn't hip to be square

>keyboards are for pussies

>Anything other than classical has merit.

>radiohead is just okay, hail to the thief was their peak

>The Suburbs and/or Reflektor are good albums. Or, god forbid, The Suburbs and/or Reflektor are better than Funeral.

>music is an art form

>hip hop is music

>not liking tim buckley

ITT: People who got into arguments about how much other people like music come and vent

>is this it is average

I remember when I was literally a 9th grader and wanted to force memes too

>Remain in Light is one of the greatest rock albums ever

>Remain in Light is a rock album
It's funk/disco, you nerds.

>average

user thats being generous

Ok Computer was their peak, imo HTTT is their best album though. Gets very underrated all the time, I've never actually seen anyone have that opinion. For what it's worth, I consider Kid A a 7/10

...

>what is this boring hipster garbage that sounds like a dying cat?

>For what it's worth, I consider Kid A a 7/10
Good thing you said that or I would have taken your opinion seriously

It is excruciatingly boring, though.

Idk man I've given it plenty of chances and it just comes off as not as musically impressive as the internet implies it to be. I listened to it out of context (I didn't get into radiohead til about 2009) so that might be it but I never got why it was rated above the rest of their discography so highly. IMO the album peaks immediately with Everything In Its Right Place and the rest is downhill

>loveless is a good album
I laugh when people say this to me irl.

kys

I didn't get into Radiohead until last year and it was imedently my favourite, just because the first track is the best doesn't mean the rest of the album can only sound bad in comparison.

>talks to people about music irl
>posts on Sup Forums
Bullshit detected

why

Oh that's not what I mean, I guess what I mean is that EIIRP is a great song, and the best song on the album, but it's "only" a strong 8/light 9 out of 10 so how could the album as a whole be a 9 or better

Not if it speaks to you.

>Kid A is the best Radiohead album.
>Death Grips is good.
>Hip Hop can be intelligent, artistic or innovative
>ITAOTS is garbage
Literally just kill yourself.

ITAOTS IS garbage you shit taste pleb

Why is garbage?

>he doesn't appreciate atmosphere

Atmospheric pacing and lifeless stagnancy are different things, dude.

>shoegaze is a genre

It's one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

You have bad taste

>it's not music because I don't like it

>In the Court of the Crimson King isn't the best KC album

I literally have a friend who has this opinion.

>I'm older than 12 and I still think Radiohead were innovative

>chance the rapper is good

Acid rap is good

>jazz is boring
>Radiohead are the best band of the last X years
>death Grips aren't anything special
>i value internet music reviews

This is true though.

>someone insulted my favourite band/genre/anything. hey this is the perfect thread to be a 6 year old in.

Wow you must not listen to many albums

>I enjoy noise genre

>people who think noise and harsh noise are one and the same

>This many people believe music is objective
I bet you all buy into the "patrician" "pleb" meme and use the terms un ironically

not sure if you're memeing or not but i agree w/ u that all of these are wrong af

Steely Dan just isn't steely enough

>he believes art is subjective
How's it like being 12?
