What was he thinking
Early 2000s were dark times.
The perfect musician, not even memeing.
The early 00s became dated so fast it's not even believable. That shit was dead by 2004.
everyone dressed like sky fierri
why would someone give a man frosted tips before throwing him out of a plane?
see
Is that Aidan Gillen
At least he was trying something new and challenging himself, I respect him for that even though that album really does suck.
>implying you don't need to make one horrible album before becoming truly perfect
Really wishing TotD would come to Cleveland
Haven't they not toured for like 25 years?
They made a reunion.
He was clearly having fun.
No fucking way...Like right now?
IIRC they never toured at all, it was just a one-off tribute album to andrew wood
he was clearly trying to cash in on the rock-is-kill trend
I know that Chris would show uo to Pearl Jam shows and do a few songs, but I wasn't sure about the touring. Just looked at the dates and they aren't playing in Atlanta, so I might get a ticket to LA to go see them.
By having fun of course
by pretending to, of course
Yes.
Having fun is having fun.
which isn't what he was having
Chris is so hot he could even pull of the frosted tips. Only just though.
kek I get it
Alright, here's a song to make my point.

This song is terrible. One of the worst I've ever heard.
But you know what? It genuinely sounds like they're having fun. When I listen to it, after my ears stop bleeding, the image that comes to mind is four old friends fucking around on the beach, with a bit of winking irony.
When I listen to Scream, the only image I can think of is Chris Cornell in a recording booth while Timbaland sits at the controls. Nothing about it sounds loose or fun; it all sounds cynically calculated. Nothing on the album is as bad as that Offspring song, but nothing on it sounds as genuine either.
except he was
nope, not really
Can this be construed as a spoof on Weezer's Beverly Hills?
yep
nup
Don't talk shit about Smashmouth

>smashing an Epiphone instead of a Gibson
