I left two of the hardest until the end.
Oh well
New-ish EP of mine:
New song:
apmacroeconomics.bandcamp.com
I'd especially love notes on the second half of that song. It's production wise my favorite so far, and my first incorporation of electronic elements.
>bedroom pop
>bedroom folk
>I guess electronic influence?
I really dig the new track, friend-o. The second half's rise and peak has an awesome sound and vibe, pretty much what I look for in lo-fi bedroom pop.
If I had to give a note it'd be to either shorten the outro bit at the very end, or keep its length but start stripping away the loops one by one.
But I mean, that's probably a cliche move; just a thought! Keep it up, dude! (Also, maybe you'd like my rec?)
Not sure if this has been posted before, since it's from earlier this year. This is one of my favorite releases of the year overall, though.

Thanks dude! I'll keep that in mind. I'm gonna give your stuff a listen and give it some thought.
4th of July: I really love the sounds on this, that almost percussive feel to it, all the layers, and I love the effects on your vocals. What instrumentation are you using with?
Sorry: I like the drums on it, and the melody. I wish the vocals were a little more prominent, because I like it.
Lavender: I love the bits of noise you use on these songs in the beginning or end. I am really digging this song. I just want to listen to all of this. This is exactly the kind of music I want to make.
I really want to download your album. I'd feel bad downloading it for nothing, but I honestly don't even have enough money for rent right now. Is it alright if I download it for free then buy it some other time?
Also, october 2013 is the best song I've heard yet on this album.
Boy is my face red...thought this was a "share what you've found, or made, if that's your deal," thread. Should've paid more attention to all the uses of "my" in here.
Yeah sorry for the confusion, as much as I wish it were, that's not my material. Wish I could help ya' with questions etc.
But as a fan, I'm glad you enjoy it(!) Sorry about that, I'm throwing something your way, though.
Oh, my bad dude, I completely misinterpreted it. Thanks for the recc! You were pretty spot on.
This is my first ever song.

I know I'm terrible at guitar, the quality is terrible, and I messed up a lot, but is there potential?
Eventually I want my sound to be similar to Avey Tare+Paul Simon
Well, it's hard to live up to the expectations of being Avey Tare and Paul Simon.
What I will say is buy a $30 USB mic, throw this in Audacity, get some layers in there, record it to a click track, take some time to focus the song, play the guitar and vocals separately so you can focus on improving and edit the vocals, throw some new sounds in there (it gets very repetitive, so have some builds and new instrumentation), rewrite and rewrite and rewrite, and make it a song you'd want to listen to. Then you got something.
Well right now I just want to focus on getting this to playable enough state to preform at an coffee shop open mic night.
I'll try fucking around in Audacity though.
Then definitely lean more towards Paul Simon than Avey Tare. Avey Tare's style works better if you have more elements than just guitar and vocals. Take some time to improve your song writing; find good chord progressions, switch up the song structure a bit, do something like you haven't done before.
Well I'm going more for the emotional energy and rawness of early Avey rather than the experimental side.
Maybe acoustic Pavement is a better comparison than Avey.
I'll keep working though, I like the chord progression I have for the song, they're simple but they work when discernible but I just can't seem to find a strumming style that works for me on it.
