i can agree with everything you said about his delivery for sure, and yes not every beat he has rapped over is great, but his best tracks have the same appeal of outsider music or particularly druggy rock music where the vibe is more important than technical proficiency

He is still complete trash, if you want good outsider or druggy music then schoolboy, asap, and maybe pusha t are the only ones worth listening to. Keef is a one hit wonder it's like you haven't even heard of DMX or Waka flaka they both destroy him

released 94, and yeah, I think it had a huge influence on the wave of technical rappers that emerged during the mid-late 90's (Talib and Mos, Busta, Bone Thugs). Definitely ahead of its time.

i can see why you wouldn't enjoy Sosa's music but i wouldn't say its completely without merit

frankly I enjoy ScHoolboy and Pusha T but their music's appeal is very different from what I enjoy about Chief Keef as their are actually coherent lyricists

i would also argue that with Keef's stuff with Finally Rich, earlier, and SFTW, that he makes turn up music that is, to me, just as entertaining as any DMX or Flacka song

What's with all the kendrick hate? It's easily one of best rap album of this decade if you can past his annoying voice. His flow is great his lyrics are great and the amount and the amount of variety in his songs speaks for it self

I'd argue ICP and soulja boy are miles better than keef, soulja boy is actually a decent rapper if you listen to some of his songs and ICP were influential as fuck. Birdman and nick cannon are shit but everybody knows that. Keef has nothing going for him it angers me people even listen to him

nah man if we're talking solely rapping ICP are actually way worse than Keef, say what you will about Sosa but he isn't off beat nearly as much and doesn't scrape by on monosyllabic rhyme schemes like they do

of course being from michigan myself i do agree that what they managed to do without any help from the mainstream industry is incredible

i like some Soulja Boy stuff too (Mario & Domo Vs. The World) but i'd say he's on par with keef at best

i'd say Keef at least has metaphors and punchlines that while hardly ever clever or well thought out can be pretty funny and he can ride a beat very well. I also like some of his more "melodic" songs but that's another thing that i can understand most people not liking
