You people usually have the worst taste in hip hop tbqh
That's weird, it's usually you people that have the worst taste in hiphop tbqh
My nigga. Large Pro is a god, too bad his solo stuff is mediocre. Have you listened to Fuck What You Think? If you have, were you also pissed of to hear that one sample on TLOP?
ye
shit bumps in da whip right?
Uhm, well, not really. I'm not even talking about race here, 'ghetto youth' is obviously uncultured and is the main reason why hip hop is overly commercial.
...
>shit bumps in the whip
You're being facetious but, they also come correct with the bars. Something this new generation of niggas seem to have never learned
"better than Deltron"

>No obvious shit
I like Reaching more, but both their albums are terrific.
I love you so much.
fuck off, pretty sure most on here haven't heard city of syrup
...

not even their best album together

...
The only right answer
Best Three Six album fight me.
patrician as fuck
Too easy
chopped and screwed version has better beats anyway
lads
you better not be playing with me by putting this in the thread Bladee is the shit
most underrated for sure, Money Flow, Last Man Standing, and Body Parts straight go
thnx
classic cash money has incredible production but people seem to miss it when talking about good southern rap
lel that pic's funny
Posting the most underrated Three 6 Mafia solo album.
...
>underrated
...
Where my PUTS boys at?
lol literally the third most popular 666 album among internet nerds
yeah it'd be better if Name It After Me were actually the closer i can't understand how they fucked the sequencing up that bad
pic related though is my favorite Three 6 think ever though
Why are there shitty rap albums being posted in a hip hop thread? Do you really not know the difference?
Just because it isn't 90s boom bap doesn't mean it's shitty
(you)
ok daddy lets see your taste
rap is by far the most popular facet of hip hop deal with it
though pic related is an eternal classic
b8'd good

So much southern love in this thread
>tfw you will never dress as well as mc's do
a good thread for once
aside from lil ugly meme
ebin xDDDD
LUM is good atleast be glad nobody posted bones or some shit like that
I'm impressed he made a swear-free rap album without coming off as Will Smith-style cheesy.
albums with DJ Quik production without his name on them are always underrated desu
Why did they have to shoot him he was one of the most likeable rappers alive
...
he didn't even get to make a proper song with e-40
at least there is this youtube.com
>LUM is good atleast
he's not really
it's just ultimate cornballs that came after like bones and the 'suicideboys' have retrospectively made him seem alright
well, even if you don't like his rapping you gotta admit he got some dope ass production skills
without a doubt in top 5 2010's albums of any genre
fucking yes this project is next level shit
even then a lot of his beats are waaaaay too busy
keef's loosies are transcendent though, like from late 2012 through 2014 he operated on an alternate plane of consciousness
so true he definitely had the loosie game on lock, i mean even now shit from 2013 is still leaking once in a while, he was at his best when he was leaned out of his mind
yeah i gotta agree that lean keef is my favorite but each era has its own merits i think, xans sosa is very underrated for instance:
youtube.com
and its pretty crazy that when keef gets "clean" that THIS is the music he makes:
...
even SFTW had a lot of gems in there, FR2 was a disappointment though, these are a couple of my favorite lean ones beside the obvious (macaroni time, that's it, love no thotties, round da rosey etc) not to mention his two 2013 mixtapes
youtube.com
maybe
You serious? He has terrible flow, terrible lyrics and basic ass beats. He's only popular for doing the "eh" "bang" "nigga" which just sounds fucking stupid
>no obvious shit like madvillainy 36 chamers illmatic...
Are you retarded?
ITT
youtube.com
This shit was like 1993. Way ahead of its time.
Why did smurda have to get locked up he was the closest thing to biggie or pac we've seen
desu i really like SFTW but the appeal is more as normal drill music than his other stuff
i agree that FR2 wasn't that great aside for a few tracks (Jumanji, and Gettin' Wild)
I really liked CGT though, i think that's some of his best music in awhile
aaaaaah shit yeah Go To Jail's one of my favorite Sosa songs
my favorite lean era songs other than the one you mentioned are probably Jet Li, Baby What's Wrong With You, and Tomorrow
>You serious? He has terrible flow, terrible lyrics and basic ass beats. He's only popular for doing the "eh" "bang" "nigga" which just sounds fucking stupid
i can agree with everything you said about his delivery for sure, and yes not every beat he has rapped over is great, but his best tracks have the same appeal of outsider music or particularly druggy rock music where the vibe is more important than technical proficiency
like this shit is straight up surreal:
youtube.com
He is still complete trash, if you want good outsider or druggy music then schoolboy, asap, and maybe pusha t are the only ones worth listening to. Keef is a one hit wonder it's like you haven't even heard of DMX or Waka flaka they both destroy him
An essential part of the college freshman starter pack, not included: Beats by Dre.
released 94, and yeah, I think it had a huge influence on the wave of technical rappers that emerged during the mid-late 90's (Talib and Mos, Busta, Bone Thugs). Definitely ahead of its time.
i can see why you wouldn't enjoy Sosa's music but i wouldn't say its completely without merit
frankly I enjoy ScHoolboy and Pusha T but their music's appeal is very different from what I enjoy about Chief Keef as their are actually coherent lyricists
i would also argue that with Keef's stuff with Finally Rich, earlier, and SFTW, that he makes turn up music that is, to me, just as entertaining as any DMX or Flacka song
What's with all the kendrick hate? It's easily one of best rap album of this decade if you can past his annoying voice. His flow is great his lyrics are great and the amount and the amount of variety in his songs speaks for it self
its just mu being needlessly contrarian again
Fantastic album, easily his best
Still your posting one of the shittiest rappers in the game in a greatest hip hop album thread, give your head a shake. You know your a shitty rapper when they had to invent a whole new genre just for him.
And if you ever watched an interview with cheif keef he's legit mentally retarded there's no way he doesn't have people writing everything for him.
...
haha i didn't post that album though, i probably wouldn't put an actual Chief Keef project in a best albums list because all of his projects have some weak spots even for him
i wouldn't say he's one of the shittiest rappers in the game when there's people like Birdman,
ICP, Soulja Boy, Nick Cannon, ect., at least he can flow pretty well on a beat at times
yeah he probably has brain damage from doing so many drugs from such a young age, and the very blatant asperger's doesn't help either
>inb4 not hiphop
>hip hop
good good
Why wouldn't this be hip hop?
Because lots of the songs are garage.
W.T.F. this album is so good
I'd argue ICP and soulja boy are miles better than keef, soulja boy is actually a decent rapper if you listen to some of his songs and ICP were influential as fuck. Birdman and nick cannon are shit but everybody knows that. Keef has nothing going for him it angers me people even listen to him
that looks like the cover of a Meat Loaf album
Pls rec me some hip-hop that has really innovative off-the-wall flow and lyrics
Like ODB, Young Thug, Danny Brown, Kool Keith style shit, but with more experimental/weird production
>Young Thug, Danny Brown
>Innovative
nah man if we're talking solely rapping ICP are actually way worse than Keef, say what you will about Sosa but he isn't off beat nearly as much and doesn't scrape by on monosyllabic rhyme schemes like they do
of course being from michigan myself i do agree that what they managed to do without any help from the mainstream industry is incredible
i like some Soulja Boy stuff too (Mario & Domo Vs. The World) but i'd say he's on par with keef at best
i'd say Keef at least has metaphors and punchlines that while hardly ever clever or well thought out can be pretty funny and he can ride a beat very well. I also like some of his more "melodic" songs but that's another thing that i can understand most people not liking
ignoring the memefest here, this is actually the correct answer
no bad tracks, great lyricism but nothing into hopsin territory, beats are magical, tells a story with an unusual timeline within the album. what more can you ask for
Mystikal - Unpredictable
